This new entry to the Galaxy Book3 series aims to be a premium offering for creatives, and looks like it could also do a bit of gaming on the side. It comes with dedicated GPU options, high-end Intel 13th gen laptop CPU, and a superb 120Hz AMOLED screen.

Based on its pricing, specifications, and overall sleek design, it’s clearly aimed at taking on the latest offerings from Apple. Let’s see who comes out on top!

Galaxy Book 3 Ultra specs vs MacBook Pro specs

We’re looking at the specs for the latest 16-inch version of the MacBook Pro released in early 2023, as this is the most comparable in terms of power and size. As you can see the size, weight, port selection, webcam and RAM and storage options all appear to be very similar. The main difference is the display and CPU/GPU options.

Although we’ve yet to see any testing yet, from what we’re looking at the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra would be the better option when it comes to gaming, with its faster 120Hz display and dedicated Nvidia graphics card options, however this may take a bigger hit the the battery life.

The starting price of the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra is $100 below the entry-level MacBook, however we don’t yet know how much the higher specced RTX 4070 version with Intel Core i9-13900H will cost (though it will be at least $600 more).

Galaxy Book 3 Ultra battery life vs MacBook Pro battery life

We don’t yet know how the two laptops will compare on battery life, as the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra hasn’t been tested in this area yet. However the MacBook Pro 16 is well known for its amazing 20-22 hours battery life on the M2 Pro chip variant, and with high end 13th gen CPU and Nvidia RTX GPU options, we can imagine the Galaxy Book3 Ultra will churn through battery at a rate of notts. We’ll have to wait and see when we get our hands on it.
