Cooler Master needs little introduction for those well versed in the gaming PC sphere. A brand synonymous with components and peripherals is branching out, not only adding to their vast collection of PC cases, mice, and keyboards but with several new lines of exciting projects on the horizon.
I had the pleasure of taking a digital tour via the impressive web-conferencing software, Gather town. Gather Town brought me into Cooler Master’s 8-bit universe, which provided a unique, interactive way of showcasing their latest products.
So, What’s New?
PC cases are always high on Cooler Master’s agenda and during the Summer Summit, they launched four new colorways for their best-selling Mini-ITX case – The NR200P. To create a statement-making SFF option, Cooler Master has remastered the beloved case in Flamingo Pink, Caribbean Blue, Sunset Orange, and Nightshade Purple.
Additionally, Cooler Master’s new line of ‘MAX’ systems was also announced, which are the brands ready-to-go solution. So, what is MAX? Well, it’s essentially a case that comes with an AIO and PSU pre-installed, meaning fewer compatibility issues for new builders and a less fiddly building process too.
The first MAX iteration to hit the shelves is the NR200P MAX, giving those who want a mini gaming PC a streamlined yet powerful SFF building experience. Lastly, we also got to see Cooler Master’s line of riser cables and the vertical GPU holder kit, which has been upgraded to fully support PCIe Gen4 standards.
New Cooling Solutions
Cooler Master unveiled its latest CPU cooling solutions, showcasing the Hyper H6/H6DT ARGB air cooler and the MasterLiquid ML240p/ML360p Flux AIOs. The new large air cooler is set to compete with the likes of Noctua and Be Quiet!, while the AIOs dual-chamber pump further honed flow and pressure to target hot spots for rapid heat dissipation.
Power!
Cooler Master already has many PSU models under its belt but is looking to extend those lines with its latest XG platinum series. This series was created to bring 80 PLUS Platinum certified PSUs into the mix, offering full-modularity, a 135mm silent fan, and Smart Thermal Control Mode for silent operation, and better airflow. As you would expect, 100% Japanese capacitors have been used in both the platform and cables, for increased efficiency and reduced ripple noise. These features combined deliver one of the first PSU units available for retail that meets all Intel ATX 12V version 2.53 guidelines.
Oh, they are also including a built-in information display panel with the XG Plus, which can be managed through the MasterPlus+ software.
Additionally, we are getting two of the biggest PSU units Cooler Master has to offer, the M1600 and M2000 PLatinum, offering 1600 and 2000 watts respectively!
Peripherals
Two of my favorite products shown at the Summer Summit were a mouse and keyboard. Cooler Master is bringing out two mice – The MM730 and MM731. They are both more or less the same mouse design-wise, oh and by the way, the wireless model is a mere 59 grams. These new mice have a top-of-the-line sensor, reliable switches, and the wireless MM731 model is rated to last as long as 190 hours with RGB off and 2.4G mode activated.
Next up, was by far my favorite product shown, the CK721 wireless mechanical keyboard. This elegant little board is a 65% model and features a lovely aluminum top plate and volume knob. The board will obviously feature RGB but is also dust and waterproof, with state-of-the-art optical switches, woo!
Gaming Monitors
Cooler Master announced their new flat gaming monitors, covering a few different needs. The GM27-FQS boasts a fast IPS panel with a refresh rate of 165HZ and 1ms response time, giving seasoned gamers something to think about. They are also releasing a 240Hz monitor – The GM27-FQX, which also has a 1ms response time, and quantum dot picture quality, making it ideal for those at the top of their competitive game.
Cooler Master is releasing boat-loads of new exciting product lines, 2021 is looking up!
