Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 vs S9+ vs S9 Ultra specs

Below you can see the breakdown of the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series. As you can see, there's actually quite a lot of commonality between the devices this year.

Screen/Display

We're not sure as of yet what the exact difference in resolution will be between the three devices, but they all have the same AMOLED panel with 120Hz maximum refresh rate, meaning they're all equally suitable for creative use and/or gaming in terms of the actual screen.

CPU/Processor & graphics

As with last year's S8 series, the CPU/chipset/processor is the same across all versions, as is the integrated graphics. This means that the cheapest S9 will perform as well in processor-intensive tasks (running any kind of software, games being the most demanding). The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 should handle these kind of programs substantially better than the Gen 1 from the last line.

RAM & Storage

As you can see above, only the Ultra version has access to the maximum memory and storage loadout of 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD, so if you're likely to need either of these in the functions you intend to use the tablet for, the Ultra is your only option. Upgrading your RAM and storage can cost you a pretty penny generally, though if you pre order one of these devices from the Samsung Store you can get a free or reduced cost storage and/or RAM upgrade.

Battery life

As you can see above, the battery sizes increase as you go up the SKUs, however so does the display size which you'd expect to draw more power, so we're not actually sure how this translates to battery life yet until independent tests and reviews can take place. If we had to guess, we'd say the Ultra would probably have the best battery duration of the three, but we'll have to wait and see!

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 vs S9+ vs S9 Ultra price

The pricing for the different variants is listed below, with the price range covering the MSRP from the lowest spec in terms of storage and RAM loadout, to the highest spec. There are different price ranges depending on whether you go for the Wi-Fi version or the 5G variant.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 price: $799-$919 (Wi-Fi variant), $949 -$1,049 (5G variant)Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ price: $999-$1,199 (Wi-Fi variant), $1,149 -$1,249 (5G variant)Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra price: $1,199-$1,619 (Wi-Fi variant), $1,349 -$1,699 (5G variant)

Final Word

So in the battle of Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 vs S9 Plus vs S9 Ultra - which should you pick? Summarising all the above, there's actually not a great deal of difference between the three. The cheapest Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 variant equipped with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will probably be the best pick for most people - having a sufficient amount of both to browse the web and store typical files on the hard drive. The only reason you'd want to upgrade to the other two variants is for the bigger screen size, or if you definitely need more disk space and RAM.

Best Windows tablet 2023 If you’re looking for the best Windows tablet in 2024, you’ll find a decent few choices worth considering. Although Android tablets substantially outnumber them, the Windows operating system (OS) tends to be the preferred option for 2-in-1 laptop/tablets (i.e. devices that can convert between the form factor of both) or 'surface' style devices (which tend to operate more like tablets, but with a detachable keyboard). This is because the Windows OS allows for greater 'laptop-like' functionality to be unlocked on these devices, making them ideal for the workplace.

A good Windows tablet should have decent performance, a good form factor, or at the very least reasonable specs at a reasonable price. Of course, a combination of all three of these things would be preferred. So, after taking a look at all of the options out there in the market, we were able to narrow it down to just five. We’ll be covering them briefly, but first here’s a look at our top choices for the best Windows tablet.

Best Windows tablet: products at a glance

Best Windows tablet: our top picks

Best Windows tablet: In-depth review

Still the best all-round Windows tablet, now available at a reduced price

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is easily the most well-rounded Windows tablet. This tablet has great specs on paper, a fantastic design, and a stunning display on top of that. This is hands down the best Windows tablet out there.

The real reason why the Surface Pro 8 is on the top of our list is because of the fact that it is the one to recommend for most people. First off, the design is sleek and elegant, and the lightweight design adds to the overall appeal. The form factor is slick and generally, the device feels great to use.

Although it’s expensive, mainly because the type cover is sold separately, that’s what it will cost you for the best Windows tablet. The Core i7 processor inside is great for everyday tasks, and it can handle real-world workloads with ease.

Apart from that, everything just works here. The type cover is elegant, and the keys feel great to type on. Furthermore, the new pen feels much better to use and will appeal to avid note takers and digital artists.

Considering it ticks all of the right boxes, this is the best Windows tablet and it’s easy to recommend.

The second best Windows tablet

Lenovo’s Thinkpad lineup has consistently been the go-to choice for a work laptop. If you are a fan of the iconic Thinkpad design and want a reliable machine, then this may be the best Windows tablet out there for you.

As the name suggests, this is a device that looks quite similar to other models in the Thinkpad lineup. It features a detachable keyboard, which allows you to easily switch between tablet and laptop mode. The keyboard cover and a stylus are included out of the box.

Speaking of the keyboard, this may very well be the best one for any Windows tablet. Thinkpads always have great keyboards, and this one is no different. Unfortunately, the trackpad does seem a bit small. Performance is excellent though, thanks to the Core i5 processor under the hood.

Battery life is surprisingly good, which is important for a Windows tablet such as this one. The 12.3-inch screen is small, but it is sharp and vibrant. The 3:2 aspect ratio gives you access to more vertical screen real estate than your average 16:9 display. Finally, the stylus feels quite decent to use as well.

Overall, this is by far the best Windows laptop out there for fans of this iconic design and layout.

A more slimline and affordable Microsoft Surface Pro

The Microsoft Surface Pro X takes a lot of inspiration from the Surface Pro 8. It strips away a few features, but in turn, converts the tablet into a sleeker and even more portable device. For those who don’t need a lot of processing power, this might be the best Windows tablet out there.

It really is quite impressive just how thin and slick this tablet really is. The thickness is about 7.3mm, but numbers don’t do it justice. You’ll be just as surprised as we were if you end up buying it. It still manages to include two USB-C ports, but this time without Thunderbolt 4.

The screen is almost the same as the Surface Pro 8, but it takes away the 120Hz refresh rate. While this 3:2 display is 60Hz, it still looks and feels great while in use. Surprisingly, the cameras on this thing are quite decent, so you’re all covered for video calls.

A device like this does come with some sacrifices. We already talked about the lack of Thunderbolt, but performance is something you need to be aware of as well. This one is not for the power users, rather, it’s intended for taking notes, working on documents, or watching videos.

This could be the best Windows tablet for you if you need something sleek and lightweight, yet don’t mind the lack of performance.

The best Windows tablet for gaming

The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 gaming tablet is a fairly unique device that combines the classic tablet/surface form factor with detachable keyboard and kickstand, with compatibility with an external GPU that gives it superior gaming power. You get different Intel CPU options as well as an onboard graphics card in the form of integrated Intel Xe graphics, or dedicated RTX 3050 or RTX 3050 Ti mobile graphics cards. The main attraction however is that you can combine it with an XG Mobile RTX 3080 graphics card, which is roughly equivalent to an RTX 3080 laptop GPU in terms of power.

This combination is certainly not cheap but it's by far the most powerful Windows tablet / surface-like device in gaming terms available on the market. You simply won't find anything like it anywhere else.

The last variant we reviewed was the Flow Z13 from 2022, but a newer ASUS ROG Flow Z13 2023 model is now on the market with Nvidia 40-series graphics and 13th gen CPU options. Although we haven't reviewed the 2023 model yet, the 2022 device comes with its fair share of drawbacks compared to gaming laptops you could pick up for a similar price or cheaper (No G-Sync, poor battery life, poor cameras/webcam and mic, and inferior display response times). You may wish to pick up a 14-inch gaming laptop instead, or, if you're open to the idea of a larger 2-in-1 laptop (one that folds with a hinge into a tablet form-factor) take a gander at the ASUS ROG Flow X16 (which scored highly in our review last year), now available with the latest-gen components.

However overall the screen brightness, contrast, color accuracy and panel uniformity on the Flow Z13 are all great - meaning it would be suited for a dual-use creative device working with visual media. The build quality is also good quality, as with most ASUS products.

Dell's best Windows tablet

The Dell 7320 detachable is the ultimate Windows tablet for folks who need a serious business laptop-like experience. In that scenario, the 7320 works quite well, and truly mimics the feel of a traditional laptop, something we know that Dell buyers care a lot about.

This one is quite pricey but you would expect that from the design and specs on paper here. Let’s start with the screen. It features a sharp and enjoyable screen with an FHD+ resolution. The 13 inches of screen real estate feels roomy and enables you to enjoy content comfortably.

Performance is quite good, thanks to the Core i7 inside. It can handle day-to-day tasks that most people would demand from a sleek business laptop. The keyboard feels great to type on, but the trackpad does feel quite small here. The integrated kickstand is also a nice touch.

The real downside to this tablet is the fact it is quite expensive as configured. It could have been on the top of the list as the best Windows tablet if pricing was slightly more reasonable.

Still, for corporate jet setters who demand a slick experience, this is a worthy Windows tablet.

The best Windows tablet for portability

It appears as if the Surface Go 3 is the polar opposite of the Surface Pro 8. While the latter might be the best Windows tablet all-around, the former is more suited for students and people who are looking for a Windows experience in the most portable form factor possible.

That is exactly why the Surface Go 3 is appealing to so many people. As the name itself implies, this is a Windows tablet that focuses on people who need a desktop-like interface while on the move. While it lags behind in performance compared to others on this list, it’s also more portable and lightweight.

The Surface Go 3 is hard to recommend to everyone, as it is more of a niche product. Those who can appreciate the simplicity and design will immediately love it. Others who want more performance will be left underwhelmed.

While quite expensive for its specs, the Surface Go 3 is a great Windows tablet if you care about sheer portability.

Best Windows tablets: things to consider

Before you go out and start looking at the best Windows tablets, there are certain things every buyer needs to be aware of to make the right choice. To help with that, have a look at our buyer’s guide.

Processor, RAM, and storage

First off, let’s talk about the processor. Most Windows tablets these days use Intel Processors. Some of the latest tablets are running on 11th Gen Intel processors, as we are yet to see them be updated with 12th gen chips. There are a few exceptions, like the Microsoft Surface Pro X, which uses an ARM-based processor.

We don’t need to remind anyone why RAM is important. Most tablets start with 8GB of RAM, which can usually be upgraded before buying. You don’t want to go any lower, as Windows will start to slow down. For people who want to use their tablet for longer, you’ll want 16GB for futureproofing.

Finally, storage is important depending on whether you’ll be using the device casually, or as a full desktop replacement. You need to know an estimate of how much space your apps, files, and projects are going to take up. Most tablets will start with at least 128 or 256GB of storage.

Finding the right form factor

We reckon most people are looking towards the best Windows tablets mostly because of the form factor. Tablets tend to be more portable than most Windows laptops, and they are easier to use when you are just lounging around and using them casually.

However, if you’re going to need performance, the tablet is going to be bigger and thicker. A tablet that focuses on performance, like the Latitude 7220 is in a different league than Surface Go 3, which focuses instead on portability.

This is why it is important to know what kind of performance you want beforehand. On the flip side, if portability is highly important to you, you will be sacrificing a bit of performance.

Battery life

Battery life is important since a tablet might get more usage than a traditional laptop. The best Windows tablets tend to be a joy to use, even while just casually browsing the web. As such, you may find that you are using the tablet for work, as well as for leisure.

So, battery life is highly important, or you’ll find yourself always staying plugged in or hunting around for a charger. Sadly, this is something a lot of manufacturers tend to miss, so pay attention to it.

The display

Well, this goes without saying. The best Windows tablet should have a great display. As we just discussed, a tablet is great because you can use it for work as well as for watching videos, browsing the web, or even reading something. As such, display quality is important.

Fortunately, all of the Windows tablets in our roundup have good screens, so you are taken care of in that regard.

Connectivity

This is something a lot of people tend to forget when they are shopping around for the best Windows tablet. Because of the size and form factor, a tablet is always going to have fewer ports than a traditional laptop. USB Type-A ports are rare, so hopefully, you can make use of Type-C without any issues.

Some tablets may support Thunderbolt 4, others may not. Thankfully, a headphone jack is at least more common in Windows tablets than those that use other operating systems. Still, you mostly won’t find any HDMI ports or full-sized SD card readers with most Windows tablets.

Look for a stylus

While a digital pen or stylus isn’t a requirement, having one makes the tablet experience much better. A few tablets come with one out of the box, but the majority will not. This is definitely something to look out for if you feel like you will benefit from using it.

If you are an artist or digital creator, a stylus is necessary then. If the tablet in question does not come with one, then remember purchasing one separately will add to the cost.

Best Windows tablet 2023 FAQs

Best Windows tablet 2023: Final word

So, to conclude, if you’re looking for the absolute best Windows tablet, we cannot recommend the Surface Pro 8 enough. Other products in the Surface lineup such as the Pro X and Go 3 are also great, depending on your use case.

Other than that, both the Thinkpad X12 Detachable and Latitude 7320 Detachable are great tablets for a business laptop-like experience.

Windows tablets are certainly an interesting breed. While they are more flexible and allow you to get more work done than Android tablets and iPads, their interface is certainly closer to a desktop rather than a mobile one. They also make the best gaming tablet models for obvious reasons (games run best on Windows).

This is why most people will feel more comfortable with Windows tablets because the experience feels familiar. We’re sure this guide will have helped you nail the perfect choice.

Best Lenovo tablet in 2024 If you want to know what the best Lenovo tablet models are in 2024, look no further. A couple of years ago, even the best Lenovo tablets would not have been near what Samsung and Apple were doing at the time. Fortunately, the company has come a long way with its tablets, and they have dozens of options now. Most of the tablets here have fantastic displays, making them great for getting serious work done or just for general content consumption. This coupled with the fact that Lenovo has very reasonable pricing makes these tablets a great choice.

However, Lenovo has a lot of options, and you can verify that for yourself by visiting its site. When a company makes too many products that are near the same spec, it’s hard to differentiate between them. That's where this guide comes in, to help you pick between them.

Best Lenovo tablet: products at a glance

Best Lenovo tablet: our top picks

Best Lenovo tablet: in-depth review

The best Lenovo tablet all-round

The Lenovo Tab P11 Plus is the best Lenovo tablet, hands down. Not because it has the most impressive spec sheet, nor the best performance. No, this tablet is so special because it is the most well-rounded tablet yet from Lenovo. On top of all of that, the design looks great.

At first glance, you’d be forgiven for thinking this is an expensive high-end tablet. That’s truly a testament to how well-designed this thing is. The sharp metallic design, paired with the dual-tone finish gives it a very unique look. Furthermore, the narrow bezels add to the industrial look.

The screen wrapped inside of those thin bezels is good as well. You get 11-inches of screen real estate and excellent image quality. The display is sharp, bright, and quite colorful. It is perfect for content consumption or for getting some work done while on the go.

It features four speakers, tuned with Dolby Atmos. The sound quality is actually pretty good, which you might not expect from a cheap tablet such as this one. A minor downside is that the metallic edges feel a bit sharp, making it uncomfortable to hold for a longer period. That can be easily fixed with a protective soft case.

All things considered, this tablet is an excellent value, and that alone makes it the best Lenovo tablet.

The best Lenovo tablet with Chrome OS

If you are a fan of ChromeOS or need a tablet for school, then this may very well be the best Lenovo device for your use case. When you think of a Chromebook, you don’t think of a very premium experience. The Lenovo Ideapad Duet 5 Chromebook wants to change that stigma, while still coming in at a reasonable price.

This ChromeOS tablet features a detachable keyboard. Its design allows you to seamlessly switch between tablet and keyboard mode, and the included keyboard works well for this design. Visually speaking, it shows off a design similar to the tab P11 plus above.

The star of the show here is the stunning 13.3 OLED display. This screen is spacious for a ChromeOS tablet, and the OLED panel makes this one of the best Lenovo tablets ever made. It is bright, vibrant, and the OLED panel gives it a more colorful profile than others.

Performance is decent, thanks to the Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 under the hood. Battery life is fantastic, especially considering the big and bright OLED panel. The only downside is the keyboard feels a bit cramped for longer typing sessions.

Putting it all into perspective, for ChromeOS, this is by far the best Lenovo tablet.

Best Lenovo tablet for use a secondary screen

By now, you will agree that it is tough to decide between the best Lenovo tablets. The Yoga Tab 13 is quite similar to the Chromebook Duet 5 above but different in subtle ways. However, those small differences can make a huge decision in which tablet you end up with.

For starters, this is a gigantic 13-inch Android tablet and one that includes a kickstand with the design. This built-in kickstand is great if you want to set it on a countertop while watching movies. An interesting feature is the micro HDMI port found on the left side of the tablet.

This is not a video out port, rather its purpose is to input display information from your primary laptop or desktop PC. As you can probably guess, this turns the tablet into a secondary screen, making it extremely versatile.

Performance is great as you can enjoy many games and fly through daily tasks without much issue. As a final note, it is important to say that the design won’t be for everyone, as the device is unwieldy when using it casually.

If you care about versatility and productivity, though, then this is the best Lenovo tablet for you.

The best Lenovo tablet with OLED display

The Lenovo Yoga Tab P11 pro certainly deserves a spot amongst the best Lenovo tablets. While the Tab P12 pro is a successor to it, it comes too close to the iPad Air, and it certainly can’t compete on that front. On the other hand, the P11 Pro is a much better value considering the lower price.

The Tab P11 Pro takes everything that is great about the P11 Plus and kicks it into second gear. It features the same all-aluminum design, making sure this tablet can stand tall against its highly capable competitors.

One thing that might sway you towards this tablet is the fantastic OLED screen. This is something missing on both the Galaxy Tab S8 and iPad Air, both of which also cost more than this tablet.

The performance is decent but could be a bit better. The Snapdragon 730G is capable, but it can’t quite compete with the tablets we mentioned just now. A high refresh rate screen would be nice as well.

Still, if you need a fantastic Android tablet with an OLED screen, this is the Lenovo tablet to buy.

The best budget Lenovo tablet

For people on a budget, the Lenovo Tab M10 Plus might be the best Lenovo tablet out there. While it’s a bit older on this list, it doesn’t look like that at first glance. For the price, it still works well as a cheap entry-level Android tablet.

The design, like most Lenovo tablets, makes use of a high-end metal finish all around. Rarely do you see that on a tablet this cheap, so that is great to have here. Performance still holds up relatively well for day-to-day tasks. Just don’t expect it to play the latest and greatest games on the play store.

The speakers on this thing aren’t that great, which is a bit disappointing since Lenovo usually nails that perfectly. Fortunately, the screen is good and holds up to more recent tablets well above its price. Get the 4/64 GB version for the RAM and storage for the best value.

For the price, it’s hard not to recommend this excellent entry-level Lenovo tablet.

Best Lenovo tablet: things to consider

Before you go out and buy the best Lenovo tablet for your needs, there are a few things you need to know. The differences between a lot of these tablets are subtle, but that can end up meaning a lot. Here are a few things to look out for.

Performance

Generally, performance is quite easy to figure out for most buyers. If you just care about content consumption and playing casual games, a mid-range chip found in many budget Lenovo tablets will do just fine.

However, if you are looking to do more, then you will want to take advantage of something like the Snapdragon 870G found inside the Tab P12 Pro. The performance difference between many of the best Lenovo tablets is subtle, as many of them can end up being close to the same price bracket.

For some, this works out quite well. Buying comes down to the screen size and which design you prefer the most. However, for gamers, it’s important to know that if you can get better performance out of a tablet that costs just $70-$80 more, then you should pull the trigger on that upgrade.

Screen size and form factor

Both of these are quite obvious. The bigger the screen size, the larger the tablet. Now, this may not matter to you if you are just looking for the biggest screen size you can get under your budget. Something like the Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 could be the best Lenovo tablet for you if that’s the case.

However, that tablet is big and bulky, like many other 12–13-inch tablets. It is not portable and is more cumbersome to use when lounging about. That matters a lot to many tablet buyers.

We don’t expect most tablet buyers to use their devices just at home either. The best Lenovo tablets are at their peak when they can be used while you are on the move. As such, you need to find the perfect balance between screen size and form factor for your use case.

Battery life

Battery life on many Android tablets has gotten much better in the past few years. This remains true across the board, from entry-level budget tablets to full-on high-end workstation machines. This is great to see, and it’s something common across many of the best Lenovo tablets as well.

Many users have reported that they end up using their tablets more than they expected. For example, if you use the tablet for some light work, and also while just casually lying on the couch, that extends the usage dramatically.

Battery life is vital in that case. Especially if you consider most people buy tablets so they can have a bigger screen to comfortably consume content from, rather than draining the battery on their phones.

Overall value

The word value itself is simple, but it can be something hard to achieve for many tablet manufacturers. Fortunately, most of the best Lenovo tablets perform well in this regard. Lenovo always makes a point to offer reasonable prices, and that is what ends up attracting a lot of buyers.

However, the situation is quite interesting here. Some of the Lenovo tablets represent such good value you just can’t ignore them. However, prices are so reasonable that you can also get a better performing device without spending too much money.

So, it’s less about the actual value of Lenovo tablets themselves, it’s more about what you’re looking for and what’s the maximum amount you are willing to spend.

Best Lenovo tablet 2023: Final word

Well, there you have it. If you’re looking for the best Lenovo tablet all-around, we recommend the Tab P11 Plus for its excellent overall value. On the other hand, the OLED screens seen on the P11 Pro and Chromebook Duet 5 are stunning.

The Yoga Tab 13 is great if you can find a use for its versatility, and the Tab M10 Plus might just be one of the best entry-level Android tablets around.

Getting to grips with these Lenovo tablets was a breath of fresh air. We were really impressed with just how good these tablets are, and you’ll be delighted with any of the five Lenovo devices.  It all comes down to use case and hopefully, you found the best Lenovo tablet for your needs with the help of this guide.

As far as we know there aren’t many tablets in the market that give you a direct HDMI port. If you find one then you are lucky but even if you don’t then it's okay we’ve got you covered. You can buy an HDMI adapter for your tablet.

But do take note that if you own a newer version of an iPad then you will require a Lightning Digital AV Adapter, as for Android tablets, you will require a USB-C to HDMI adapter.

Beneath we will show you a step-by-step guide on how to connect your tablet to TV via HDMI cable.

Android

Apple

There are two adapters you can use when connecting your iPad to TV - one is the Lightning Digital AV Adapter which can be used with any new generation of iPads as they all are equipped with lightning ports and the other is the Lightning to VGA Adapter if your TV doesn’t have an HDMI slot and instead has a VGA port.

Make sure that you have different adapters for an Apple tablet and an Android tablet. The requirements are different for the two giants.

Connecting via WiFi or Screen Mirroring

Screen mirroring is probably the smartest and best method to connect your tablet to your TV. Make sure that you first have a smart TV at home which supports screen mirroring for any of the Android tablets.

If you are using an Apple device(iPad) then you require Apple TV or AirPlay 2 compatible smart TV. Both of these things are necessary if you are looking to connect your tablet via screen mirroring.

One other thing that needs to be kept in mind is the fact that both your tablet and the smart TV should be connected to the same WiFi network. Both of them must be connected to the same network.

As was the case with the HDMI cable, we’ll look at the setup of both Apple and Android individually and step-by-step.

Android

Apple

If you want to use another method of Screen Mirroring then simply tap Screen Mirroring in your control center and you will be able to mirror your iPad on your smart TV.

How to connect iPad to MacBook Pro & MacBook Air If you've been wondering how to connect iPad to MacBook Pro & MacBook Air, you're in the right place. Sometimes, your computer's display is simply insufficient. That's why most people buy a second monitor to have extra room for streaming, gaming, and organizing. Although having multiple screens is good, you don't always have to spend more money to have one.

You can easily and quickly connect your iPad to your MacBook, and use the iPad as an additional display for your Mac computer. You can then extend your MacBook or simply mirror it onto your iPad using Sidecar, which is built into compatible devices. This allows you to operate the two devices in harmony.

This article discusses everything you need to know about connecting your iPad to your MacBook.

How do I connect my iPad to my MacBook Pro/Air?

There are many different ways to connect your iPad to your MacBook Pro/Air, but we will discuss the most efficient ones.

Using AirPlay

Apple's AirPlay wireless protocol enables the transmission of audio and video across devices like Apple TV and HomePod.

With the release of macOS Monterey, customers can easily turn their MacBook Pro or Air into an AirPlay server, enabling seamless screen streaming from their iPhone or iPad to their MacBook.

If you want to disconnect both devices, simply hit the AirPlay button once more and choose Disconnect.

Alternatively, you can screen-share only one window from your MacBook. For instance,  you could share your Safari web browser or any comments you've made in Notes. Simply place your mouse on the green full-screen button, which is located in the upper left corner of windows, to accomplish this. You should notice a "Move to iPad" option after a short time of hovering, which will share that window with your iPad.

Using Mac Reflector

A reflector is a file-sharing and screen-mirroring application that allows you to sync your iPad and MacBook Pro/Air. Reflector links to your devices using the Miracast, Google Cast, and AirPlay protocols to screen-mirror and transmit videos without external hardware.

You may use Reflector to connect an iPad to a Mac by following these steps:

Download and install Reflector first. Then, launch Reflector and select the Plus button in the window's lower left corner.Choose Apple from the Device Type menu.Choose your iPad under Model.Check to see if your Mac and iPad are connected to the same network. From the list, choose your iPad, then click the Connect option.Lastly, click the blue Mirror button located in the window's bottom right corner.

You can disconnect both devices by clicking on the Stop Mirroring button from the bottom right corner of the software window.

Using QuickTime Player

Users can share the screen of an iPad with a Mac using QuickTime Player, an application that comes preinstalled on Macs. Here are the steps to use it:

Use a USB cable to link your iPad to your Mac.Launch QuickTime on Mac.Choose New Screen Recording from the File menu. From the list of devices, choose your iPad.Start screen sharing with your iPad on the Mac by selecting the Record button.Click on "Stop" in the QuickTime toolbar to end sharing.

Using Sidecar

When you need to share multimedia files, you can mirror the Mac screen to the iPad using the built-in Apple Sidecar function.

Before mirroring from a Mac to an iPad, confirm that both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and Apple ID. Then begin mirroring with the following steps:

Select the Display option from the control center or settings menu in the top right corner of your Mac.Click the Airplay icon from the option bar and choose iPad from the menu.If your Airplay icon is not visible, click the Apple symbol in the upper left corner.Choose Sidecar in the system preferences.Choose iPad under the connect to button in the pop-up sidecar.Click on Display from the control panel. The Sidecar symbol will turn blue, indicating that the function has started functioning.

Best drawing tablet with a screen 2023 If you’re looking for the best drawing tablet with a screen, you are in for quite a journey. It is an interesting time to be an artist, as drawing tech is evolving at a rapid pace. Wacom is still the top choice for many, purely because of the brand's reliability. However, things have become quite diverse in the past few years.

Much of this is because the drawing experience on iPads and Android tablets has gotten a lot better. As such, traditional drawing tablets were forced to step up their game and provide an incentive to newcomers. It's a great time to be a drawing tablet buyer, as you’re spoiled for choice in this market. In fact, picking the right tablet for you is the hardest thing you have to do. Not everyone has the same needs, nor the same workflow. In the end, we decided that we’d include tablets that cater to different audiences.

Best drawing tablets with a screen: products at a glance

Best drawing tablets with a screen: our top picks

Best drawing tablets with a screen: in-depth review

The best all-round drawing tablet with a 4K screen

When it comes to the best drawing tablets with a screen, you can’t ignore Wacom tablets. The Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 is by far one of the best drawing tablets from Wacom. There is a reason why this is such a popular choice among both enthusiasts and professional digital artists.

The star of the show here is the matte 4K screen. It’s incredibly impressive, as the colors are vibrant, which they should be since this covers 98% of the Adobe RGB spectrum. It features an etched-glass display, which allows for a unique and tactile experience while drawing.

Just like the tablet itself, the Pro Pen 2 here is also a premium tool for drawing. The pen has some weight to it but does not feel uncomfortable. The weight is distributed quite well, and this is what makes it comfortable.

It includes Expresskey shortcuts on the back, and these are programmable. You can map these to different shortcuts within different drawing apps. It’s a clever feature, and their positioning means they don’t take up any space in the front.

This truly is the best drawing tablet with a screen, especially if you need something with a sharp display.

A color-accurate drawing tablet with 1600p screen

Huion is often underrated and left out of the conversation of the best drawing tablets with a screen. However, don’t let that skew your perception here. This is one of the best pen displays out there, and it’s highly competitive in its pricing.

With this new Kamvas Pro 13, Huion is finally giving us a good reason to buy the pro model. That of course is the 2560 x 1600 display. It is sharper than most tablets in this range, and noticeably more color accurate as well. Not something you expect from a tablet that focuses on value.

The design is quite good as well. It has a laminated screen, and the matte surface is great to draw on. Other than that, the buttons for programmable shortcuts have symbols on them, and the surface allows you to distinguish between them.

This tablet includes a combo cable in the box. It has two USB-C connectors on one end, two USB-A connectors, and HDMI on the other end. You will need to plug this into a power adapter, but it does not come with one in the box.

All things considered, this is an excellent drawing tablet with a screen, at a competitive price.

A color-accurate drawing tablet with 1600p screen

The best Apple drawing tablet with 120Hz screen

When we’re talking about the best drawing tablets with a screen, the iPad Pro is something of an outlier. Most of the devices we’re looking at are pen displays, and they work more like external monitors rather than traditional tablets.

Of course, the iPad is a far cry from that. This tablet runs on iPad OS, and that is what makes it so versatile. Apps like Procreate turn this into an amazing drawing tool. Other apps such as notability turn this into a productivity powerhouse.

Apart from its versatility, it is a premium experience for drawing. The 120Hz display feels excellent, and it’s a game changer once you start drawing on it. Other than that, the Mini-LED panel here is punchy and vibrant. It stands proudly against some of the best drawing tablets with a screen.

Battery life is great, and so is the Apple Pencil. This second-generation pencil sticks magnetically to the sides of the iPad, and that’s how it charges. This means you never need to worry about the battery.

Overall, if versatility is what you are looking for, this is the drawing tablet to get.

A 2-in-1 tablet with 120Hz screen

Like the iPad Pro above it, the Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is quite different from the other best drawing tablets with a screen. For one, it runs Windows. Now, that immediately makes it more versatile than most traditional tablets, but that’s not where it ends.

For starters, the display here is excellent. It covers 103% of the sRGB color gamut and even features a 120Hz refresh rate. With previous models, the Surface Pen was not good for drawing. Thankfully, it’s been updated, and it works well with the high refresh rate.

Other than that, the form factor is fabulous. You can buy a keyboard cover for it, and it is still thin and light when attached. It almost feels like a notebook. The hinge is well designed, and everything about this design screams quality.

Other than that, this is a great experience for drawing and is a full-fledged Windows machine on top of that.

It is the best drawing tablet with a screen if you also want a laptop-like experience to boot.

The best budget drawing tablet with screen

XP-Pen has long been trying to create some of the best drawing tablets with a screen. While they have enjoyed success with simple drawing tablets, it’s been an uphill battle when it comes to pen displays. Thankfully, this is a much better attempt.

The XP-Pen Artist 12 is an entry-level pen display. It uses an 11.6-inch 1920 x 1080 screen, and it’s good enough for the price. It supports USB-C, and the new stylus feels more comfortable to hold. The display is laminated, and that brings it up to par with similar devices.

Of course, there are a few corners cut here. For example, there is a bit of wobble while drawing slowly. This is noticeable when you are taking your time drawing those finer lines at a slow speed. You might have to turn up the smoothening a bit to fix this.

Fortunately, they get the pressure sensitivity just right. While the drawing experience is a bit poorer than some of the best drawing tablets with a screen, it’s a decent starting point for beginners.

Best drawing tablet with screen: things to consider

As we discussed earlier, diversity is incredible when it comes to the best drawing tablets with a screen. We say this because traditional tablets have caught up quite quickly. Devices such as the iPad Pro and Galaxy Tab S8 are excellent if you want to get started with digital art.

They are also great for versatility. These aren’t just drawing tablets, you can play games, write up documents, and do other stuff that you would normally do on a laptop. Styluses like the Apple Pencil and S-Pen are also on par with some of the best graphics tablets out there.

On the flip side, a traditional drawing tablet with a screen is still popular among professionals. This is because you don’t need to worry about battery life, you plug them in and are ready to go, and you might get shortcut keys not found on traditional tablets.

However, these are more like external monitors and need to be connected to a PC or Mac to function.

Connectivity and OS Support

Generally speaking, most of the best drawing tablets with a screen will have no problem supporting both Windows and macOS. However, keep in mind that some tablets have drivers and firmware that can only be done via Windows. This is quite common on non-Wacom tablets.

Of course, this is a non-issue with iPads and drawing tablets. You’re stuck with the OS installed on these devices. As for connectivity, some of the better tablets will be able to connect with a USB-C cable, while others may still use a traditional HDMI port for the display.

Does portability matter to you?

This is where the debate between pen tablets, the best drawing tablets with a screen, and traditional Android/iOS tablets gets interesting. A lot of artists prefer to have a dedicated space in which they can be creative. A lot of people might only work in this place, and portability may not matter as much.

This also means that they can go with larger screen sizes without any worries. If you’re not moving the tablet around all the time, it’s a good idea to buy a big tablet.

On the other hand, a lot of artists like to move around a lot. You’ll find a lot of them in coffee shops, libraries, and other places, always on the hunt for inspiration. This is where devices such as the iPad come into play.

Again, either could be the right choice depending on how often you plan to move around while working on your projects.

Finding the right pen

It goes without saying, this is a really important when you’re looking for the best drawing tablets with a screen. Different drawing tablets will come with different pens, and the experience might be different. Especially if there’s a substantial difference in the price.

Some tablets come with pens that wear out quickly. These will usually come with a few replaceable nibs in the box. Most pens these days do not rely on battery power, so you don’t need to worry about battery life.

The grip is also something you need to worry about. Drawing for hours on end is not good for your wrists, so you need to find a pen and tablet combo that is comfortable for those long sessions.

Best drawing tablet with a screen : Final word

We hope that this guide has helped you find the best drawing tablet with a screen in 2024 for your needs.

To recap If you are looking for the absolute best drawing tablet with a screen, the Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 is the one to get. It’s worth mentioning that the Huion Kamvas Pro lineup is quite good as well, and they also sell a 16-inch model if that’s what you fancy.

Both the iPad Pro and Surface Pro 8 are too versatile to ignore, and the XP-Pen Artist 12 is a decent enough experience for beginners on a budget.

Drawing tablets have certainly come a long way. We tried to keep this list as diverse as possible, just to show what a big choice there is in the game these days. With that said, depending on your use case, you can’t go wrong with most of the tablets on this roundup.

iPad won’t connect to WiFi – troubleshooting guide You must have an internet connection in order to use your iPad to its full potential, so when your iPad won't connect to WiFi, it's understandably frustrating. In certain cases, restarting your iPad will solve the WiFi connectivity issue. However, if you still can't get your iPad connected to the WiFi, here is a tutorial on troubleshooting connectivity issues.

What to do if my iPad won’t connect to the WiFi

Most common internet connection issues can be resolved in a few simple steps. But, before we go on to more complex troubleshooting tasks, make sure you've already tried these suggestions.

Getting closer to your WiFi router is the first solution. The Wi-Fi transmission power may not be strong enough to connect your iPad to the Wi-Fi if you are too far away.Ensure that the Wi-Fi network is on. Make sure the issue is with the iPad itself before wasting too much time troubleshooting it. Connect to the Internet using your laptop, desktop, or smartphone to make sure that the router is working properly. If you have an iPad case, it would be wise to take it off when performing these troubleshooting steps. This won't necessarily solve the issue, but any barrier could weaken the signal a little. It's a good idea to double-check that you are typing in the correct password if you are trying to join a network and are repeatedly rejected after entering the password.

If none of these resolve the issue, go to the next set of troubleshooting processes.

Check your modem and router for a failed connection

While routers and modems are frequently integrated into one device, their functions are different. If your modem and router are separate, make sure they are both turned on and securely linked.

Try unplugging and re-plugging these devices to reset them. When restarting a router or modem, it is best to turn it off for 10 seconds to be sure it has shut down completely before turning it back on.

Forget your Wi-Fi network and connect again

Try attempting to forget your iPad's Wi-Fi network first. Your iPad remembers information about the network and how to pair to it automatically when you initially connect to a new Wi-Fi network. Forgetting the network will restart your iPad if something changes in the way it connects to the network (for example, you changed the password).

Update your software

If you're still experiencing trouble connecting your iPad to Wi-Fi, a software update could be able to fix the issue and stop further issues from occurring.

Troubleshoot WiFi Settings

After making sure that every network setting is proper, it's time to investigate the Wi-Fi connection itself. Resetting the iPad's Wi-Fi connection is the first step.

Reboot The iPad

Restart your iPad to get rid of most problems that are getting in the way of connecting to your iPad.

Reset Network Settings

Try resetting the network settings if nothing else works.

Is the iPad Pro 120Hz? So is the iPad Pro 120Hz? Yes, the latest iPad Pro has a 120Hz refresh rate, and it is awesome. The higher refresh rate makes for a better experience compared to an iPad with a 60Hz refresh rate.

Some misinformed people may say that an increased refresh rate is unnoticeable unless you're gaming on your device: they are wrong. You will notice a clear difference almost immediately even for just general usage and viewing. If you compare side-by-side, the 60Hz display will look blurry. If you are already using a 120Hz screen, going back to 60Hz would be a somewhat unpleasant experience. The ProMotion 120Hz feature makes the iPad Pro a nicer, more comfortable device to use.

60Hz vs 120Hz iPad Pro: What’s the Difference?

The difference between 60Hz and 120Hz is genuinely noticeable. If you are considering an iPad Pro but are not sure if the 120Hz display will make a difference: we recommend visiting an Apple Store to check the latest iPad Air and iPad Pro side-by-side.

Look for the animations of opening and closing on the Chrome browser, for example. The animation is not smooth in the Air. You can also do a scrolling demonstration. The text won’t be as smooth on the Air.

Is a higher refresh rate better for your eyes?

If you are like me, someone who has to stare at a screen for a prolonged time on a daily basis, go for a 120Hz display. These screens are friendly and comfortable to look at and good for avoiding eye strain and fatigue as much as possible.

120Hz is refreshing faster than the eye’s ability to detect flicker, making the entire viewing experience more comfortable. Our eye is capable of detecting flickers between 50Hz and 100Hz. The standard number is 60Hz, but some people have more sensitive eyes. So, screen flickering can be extremely disorienting to them. So, the 60Hz screen refresh rate is just at the threshold for most people, but 120Hz is faster. Our eyes won’t catch the flicker, making all the difference.

Is the iPad Pro 2022 Waterproof? If you are going to get an expensive tablet, such as an iPad Pro 2022, and use it as your daily device, you should expect it to be at least water-resistant to withstand the various moisture threats you're likely to encounter in day-to-day life, but is the iPad Pro 2022 Waterproof? and, if so, how waterproof is it?

In short, No. The reality is none of the smartphones, tablets, or wearables in the market is truly waterproof. The term “waterproof” is used loosely alongside IP rating, which creates a misconception. Water-resistant is the more accurate term for the latest iPhones for instance, but the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2022 are neither waterproof nor water-resistant.

(Credit to MyUnboxingsAndFun for the great featured image - but do not try that at home unless you want to ruin your device!)

Waterproof vs Water Resistance: What's the difference?

These two terms are often used to describe the same quality, which is wrong as they have different meanings. If you are following the smartphone industry, you know that smartphones have had a water-resistance rating for the last few years. These are also referred to as IP ratings: it stands for Ingress Protection.

A smartphone with a higher IP rating is always good, but that doesn’t necessarily make the smartphone waterproof.

What is IP Rating?

The new iPhone 14 comes with an IP68 rating. It means the iPhone is water-resistant (not waterproof) when immersed in water for 30 minutes up to a depth of 6 meters. Remember, it says water-resistant and waterproof.

The iPhone has all the necessary rubber gaskets and mechanisms to prevent water from entering the device. However, if water finds its way into the device the electronic circuits will be ruined. Apple doesn’t even honor the terms of the warranty if your phone has water damage.

Hence, having an IP68 rating makes your smart device water-resistant with certain conditions but doesn’t make them waterproof. Adding an IP certification also means extra cost. So, sometimes brands skimp it all together.

Does the iPad Pro 2022 have an IP rating?

No iPad has an IP rating -Apple makes zero claims to them being water-resistant. In reality a few drops of water are unlikely to ruin the device, unless you're very unlucky, but still - we wouldn't try your luck.

Still, you can’t go wrong with an iPad Pro 2022 if you are in the market for a tablet. The new iPad Pro is hands down the most powerful and sophisticated piece of hardware in the market. Apple even claims the iPad Pro 2022 can be used as a laptop replacement.

Is the iPad Pro 4K? So, Is the iPad Pro 4K? In short: No, neither the new iPad Pro 2022 nor the older versions are 4K.

The 11-inch iPad Pro 2022 has a Liquid Retina Display with a resolution of 2388 x 1668 at 264 PPI. It’s a True Tone Display with a max brightness of 600 nits.

The 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2022 has a Liquid Retina XDR Display with a resolution of 2732 x 2048 at 264 PPI. It’s also a True Tone Display with a max brightness of 600 nits.

What is a Retina Display?

The Retina Display is Apple’s revolutionary invention in screen technology that came back with the iPhone 4, which had an (at the time) impressive 960 x 640 resolution. This technology helped Apple to create a display where the pixels are so densely packed that they are invisible to the naked eye when used at regular viewing distance. The normal viewing distance for iPhone, according to Apple, is 10-inches. It is 15-inches for the iPads.

How does a Retina Display perform compared to a 4K display?

iPad Pro Retina displays undoubtedly look great, but they are not 4K. For normal viewing purposes and general use, the 2732 x 2048 screen on the 12.9" version will probably be indistinguishable for most people from 4K resolution, looking equally as clear. However, if you're watching or working with 4K video or photo media, it won't match up to the functionality offered by a genuine 3840 x 2160 4K screen, as you won't be able to view it max screen at native resolution.

The idea behind Apple’s Retina Display is to make them as clear as possible to the human eye by creating a specific (non-typical) resolution. So, even if the pixel count was increased close to the 4K resolution, it would not be exactly 3840 x 2160.

Increasing the resolution to this would also increase the asking price of the device, as well as its battery consumption, though we'll still likely see one of these devices in the years to come.

What factory reset does to your Samsung tablet

You may uncertain about how a factory reset will affect your Samsung tablet, which is understandable. Factory resetting a device isn't something you should do without knowing the consequences first. When you factory reset a Samsung tablet, or any other devices for that matter, the tablet is wiped and returned to it's like-new 'factory' settings.

This means that your apps, photos, and any other data is deleted from the tablet. This is why it's important to back up anything you would like to keep before you perform a factory reset. Like we mentioned earlier, it's also a good idea to remove any accounts from the device prior to resetting. This is useful if you want to sell or give away the tablet and be sure that any account connections are severed for good.

Best ASUS tablet & best ASUS 2-in-1 laptops in 2024 ASUS tablets and ASUS 2-in-1 laptops are some of the best devices out there for getting work done on the go. Despite all the talk that iPads can replace Windows laptops for some people, a true desktop OS will always be better for some people.

Portability is important to a lot of people. Traditional laptops these days are thin and light, but they lack the versatility of a tablet. That’s why 2-in-1 laptops and tablets are still massively popular in 2024. Unlike mobile operating systems, 2-in-1 laptops can give you the best of both worlds (although gaming tablets fall substantially short of gaming laptops).

Unfortunately, navigating the world of 2-in-1 laptops and tablets can be a bit confusing for many. There are a lot of products to choose from, but few of them stand out.

So, to make things easier for you, we’ll be taking a quick look at some of the best ASUS tablets and 2-in-1 laptops out there.

Best ASUS tablet and ASUS 2-in-1 laptop models: things to consider

Tradeoffs with Windows 2-in-1 laptops

A lot of the time, truly portable tablets running Windows such as ASUS tablets can be hard to find. These days, 2-in-1 laptops are more popular, as they are more versatile. Microsoft tried to flood the market with Windows 8 with the tablet support on Windows 8 and 8.1.

As we all know, that didn’t work out so well. A lot of tablets came out with Windows 8 on them, and they did not end up selling well after poor reviews. Things have got a lot better with the release of Windows 10 and now 11, and the overall user experience is much better.

2-in-1 laptops offer even more versatility with Windows but they come with their downsides as well. These laptops have a 360-degree hinge, allowing you to use the touchscreen as a tablet.

While this sounds good in theory, a lot of the time the keyboard may get in the way. It’s also worth mentioning that a traditional iPad will always be a better portable experience if you don’t need to use full-fledged desktop apps.

Performance and pricing

With a lot of Windows devices such as ASUS tablets and 2-in-1 PCs, battery life is very important. A lot of companies get better battery life by cutting down on the performance a bit.

A lot of portable windows devices will use processors with a lower TDP, and usually no fans, to conserve battery life. This means you won’t be getting the same performance as you would with a traditional laptop.

As such, keeping thermals and performance in mind adds to the production cost. This is why some of the thinnest and lightest devices out there are also some of the most expensive.

Battery life is crucial

A lot of these Windows devices such as ASUS tablets and 2-in-1 laptops are generally more powerful and capable than something like an Android tablet. While that sounds good on paper, keep in mind that performance is not without its catch.

The more power-hungry a laptop or tablet is, the bigger the hit is on the battery life. A lot of graphic designers, video editors, and production engineers buy 2-in-1 PCs and tablets because they need power and a touchscreen.

To power those workloads, you just can’t get by with a low-end processor. That’s where the performance comes at the cost of battery life. There are still machines out there that will do fine, but you’re always going to have top make a sacrifice somewhere - power or battery life.

Best ASUS Tablets and 2-in-1 laptops in 2024

The ASUS Zenbook Flip S 13 is an excellent ultrabook and the best choice out of all the devices in our ASUS tablets and 2-in-1 laptops roundup. When you’re shopping around for an ultrabook, you’re looking for portability, good performance, and of course, a great display.

Fortunately, the ASUS Zenbook Flip S 13 almost has it all. The design here is premium, and the overall fit and finish are great. It comes with an ASUS Pen and Windows Ink support, making it ideal for designers. The display here is gorgeous. It is a 4K panel and one that boasts excellent brightness and contrast. ASUS is utilizing an OLED display here and that’s a massive plus point.

The 360-degree hinge is well-engineered and allows you to turn this into an ASUS tablet. Furthermore, the speakers are surprisingly good, which is something you rarely get from ultrabooks. It has two USB-C ports, both of which are Thunderbolt 4, and this enables you to connect an external GPU. Battery life is decent, but the Dell XPS 13 and M1 MacBook air easily defeat it.

Overall, though, this is an excellent ultrabook that deserves your attention.

The Vivobook 13 is the ultimate ASUS tablet. Unlike the CT100 tablet below, this device runs Windows 11. It’s an interesting product, that’s for sure, but while it’s cheaper than both the iPad Pro and Surface Pro 8, the performance is slightly lacking.

However, ASUS still has the right idea here, as there is one feature this tablet has that’s sorely lacking in others - the fantastic 1080p OLED screen. You should see this device as a high-end media consumption tool, rather than something that you get work done with. It’s a rare treat to see a punchy, high-contrast, and vibrant OLED panel in a cheap tablet. Considering it comes with a keyboard cover, a pen, and a kickstand as well, it offers really good value for money.

The design here is good as well. The power button at the top functions as a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello. There’s a volume rocker on the right edge and two USB-C ports, a headphone jack, and a microSD card on the right. While performance leaves a little to be desired, this is a great tablet for everyday tasks.

While the VivoBook Slate above is a much better all-around ASUS tablet, it is not exactly cheap. So, if you’re after a cheap device to get through everyday tasks, you should be looking at Chromebooks and Chrome OS. This is the only ASUS tablet that runs ChromeOS, and it does it very well. The Hexa-core processor here holds up well, and so do the 4GB of RAM. Build quality is good, and the back is quite grippy with the rubberized sides. It has a single USB-C port, a microSD card slot, and a headphone jack.

A strange quirk about the design is that the power and volume buttons are hard to distinguish. Texturing on the power button would have fixed this problem. Fortunately, the size of this device is perfect. The 9.7-inch screen size is ideal for watching videos, while still being small enough to fit inside of your backpack.

Battery life is good here as well, as this tablet can easily last 8-10 hours depending on the usage. The included pen adds a lot of value.

In conclusion, this ASUS tablet is worth considering if you are a fan of Chrome OS.

ASUS tablets and 2-in-1 devices don’t need to be all about portability. That is exactly how the Zenbook Flip is different from the rest of the devices in this roundup. It’s the only device in here with a dedicated GPU, allowing you to play a lot of your favorite games.

However, it is expensive. While the 1650 Ti inside the device is decent for eSports titles and less demanding games, it’s on the lower end of the performance spectrum. Especially when you consider the price.

Of course, a lot of that has to do with the 4TB SSD. ASUS does offer different configurations, so you can expect the price to be a fair bit lower if you don’t need that storage. As for the screen, this is yet another ASUS tablet/2-in-1 device that features a gorgeous 4K OLED panel. Credit where credit is due, this is an excellent screen.

Overall, this is a very capable 2-in-1 laptop if you can stomach the cost.

Last but not least, the ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 ends our roundup of the best ASUS tablets and 2-in-1 devices. The specs on this device are more akin to a Chromebook than a Windows laptop. However, this cheap laptop runs Windows 10, and it’s great for casual use or for younger students.

The display might be low resolution, but the actual quality is quite decent. You couldn’t expect much more for the price. Fortunately, the design is good - slim yet well-built. It includes a built-in fingerprint scanner and excellent battery life for all-day usage.

All things considered, this laptop is good for the price. There are a few downsides, such as the extremely low storage and complete lack of USB-A, but you can accept these compromises at this price point.

Best ASUS tablet laptop guide : Final Word

It’s not easy to buy the best Windows device when it comes to tablets and 2-in-1s, but we hope this best ASUS tablet 2023 guide has made that process a bit easier. To summarise, the CT100 and Vivobook 13 Slate are the two best tablet options, the Zenbook Flip S 13 is a great 2-in-1, which works really well in tablet mode. The Zenbook Flip is a great option if you want to play a few games here and there, and the Flip 14 is a good cost-effective device.

Best OSU tablet 2023 If you're looking for the best Best OSU tablet in 2024, look no further!

Osu! is a brilliant free-to-play game that’s got an army of fans worldwide, and you’ll often see a lot of the top players using Osu tablets.

Why a tablet, though? After playing the game, you’ll quickly realize that a mouse just doesn't cut it. Osu is an extremely stimulating, vibrant, and fast-paced rhythm game, which is an explosion of beats, rapid reactions, and colors. A tablet allows you to cut down the latency between the mouse and the cursor a lot, plus will likely be a lot cheaper than a gaming laptop.

Best OSU tablet 2023: products at a glance

Of course, no equipment is going to replace pure skill. But, at the very least, the best Osu tablet will make your life quite a bit easier.

Tablet deals are live! Get big savings on tablets of all brands, shapes and sizes on Best Buy and Amazon in 2024, including: RCA, Samsung, Amazon Fire, Lenovo, and Microsoft Surface Pro tablets as well as ASUS, HP, and Dell 2-in-1 laptops.

Best OSU tablet 2023: our top picks

Best Osu tablet 2023

The Wacom Intuos is one of the best graphics tablets out there, and it also happens to be the best Osu tablet. Many people would expect a Wacom tablet in this guide, as they are the most reliable brand when it comes to long-term use.

These tablets come in two sizes. The smaller is cheaper and will feel the most comfortable to Osu players. However, we prefer the medium as you can always decrease the active area. Hence, it’s a safer bet. Both have wireless versions as well, however, that is something you should avoid at all costs for Osu.

Back to the tablet, this one is high-quality and will survive years of long Osu sessions. The faster response time and minimized input lag both feel like game-changers.

The surface of this table has a scratch-resistant material. Overall, the surface feels great for both drawing and Osu.

While more expensive than others on this list, this is by far the best Osu tablet, especially in terms of reliability.

XP-Pen tablets have been giving Wacom a run for its money in both simple and screen-based drawing tablets. Coincidentally, these tablets happen to work beautifully in Osu as well.

Some might argue that in terms of comfort and portability, the StarG640 is the best Osu tablet. While many will still prefer Wacom for its reliable drivers, the competition is quite close here.

With the design of this tablet, XP-Pen decided to cram all of the electronics into one corner. This gives the tablet a razor-thin design. It does not just look good, but it is very portable and comfortable at the same time - you might wonder how they pulled the design off.

The pen tracks quickly at 266RPS and has a pressure sensitivity of 8192 levels. It is battery-free, lightweight, and has a good grip as well.

Overall, this tablet is a strong contender for the best Osu tablet.

Wacom tablets are the top choice if you’re looking for a graphics tablet or even the best Osu tablet. The One is so cheap that almost any Osu player can afford it, and as such it’s an excellent device for people who want to get started with the game.

In fact, it is more than that. The One by Wacom is so good that it might be the only Osu tablet you’ll buy for a long time. It is essentially a lower-tier version of the Wacom Intuos above.

It has a small active area of 6.0 x 3.7 inches. While this may seem a bit limiting in terms of graphic design, it actually works well just for Osu. The playing area is large enough and the fast response time is still present.

Like other tablets, this one connects via a USB cable. The included one is long enough to reach the back of your PC. The tablet has a thin profile, is comfortable, and is dirt cheap. There’s not much more you could ask for.

This is by far the best Osu tablet from Wacom for both beginners and people on a budget.

When we’re talking about the best Osu tablet, the Gaomon S620 definitely deserves a spot on this list. It is one of those devices that comes with a great feature set at a very decent price.

It features an attractive design, with buttons located on the top left and extremely thin bezels. The size and weight are well-balanced, and it feels comfortable for Osu as well as drawing. The pen is good as it features a textured grip near the bottom.

The pen does feel smoother than the ones found with other tablets on this list. While this is not a big issue, some may have an issue with the grip. Apart from that, the performance is great and the tablet features rubber padding so it does not move around that much.

The drivers are decent, but there is the occasional hiccup. Apart from that, this is a very decent Osu tablet.

The Huion H42X is an update of the iconic drawing tablet. A lot of the drawbacks have been improved on and it means you can get yourself a great Osu table for under $25.

In our opinion, this is the best entry-level Osu tablet out there. The surface feels good and performs well, and the build quality is good for the price. In terms of input lag, it’s decent but could be better. You’ll be much better off if you install Hawku drivers.

One of the major issues with the old HUION H420 was the battery-powered pen, which needed charging and could leave you having to wait to use it. That’s changed now with the new model and that makes this a great option for a cheap price.

Best Osu tablet: Things to consider before you buy

Truth be told, it can be hard to figure out what you need for the best Osu tablet. Compared to a mouse, any graphics tablet is going to allow you to take your skills to the next level.

So, while you could just go ahead and buy any tablet that’s under your budget, there are still some things people tend to ignore.

Active area

This is something that a lot of people tend to overestimate. As we said before, any graphics tablet is going to be a good fit for Osu, regardless of the active area. Most small tablets have an active area of 4 x 6 inches, while large tablets are about 12 x 8 inches, give or take.

A smaller tablet allows you to be quicker, while a larger tablet will allow you to be more accurate. However, there is always the third option of medium tablets, which is our preference when it comes to the best Osu tablet.

This gives you the best of both worlds. If you decide you prefer a smaller active area, you can always recalibrate it through tablet settings.

Finding the right pen

The best Osu tablet should also come with a good pen. Most graphics tablets come with a battery-free pen, meaning you don’t need to worry about charging it. Even those that need to be charged come with a convenient stand for doing so.

The grip is what you want to worry about. After long sessions, a pen can get slippery due to sweat. Some pens have a textured grip or rubberized tips to alleviate this issue.

What about the buttons?

If you’re looking for the best tablet to play Osu on, you might not want a full-featured device. Graphics tablets tend to be the best but many of them have features that are useful for drawing, but not so much for Osu.

Buttons are one of these features. They are super helpful for shortcuts and mapping them to different actions. However, this isn’t true for Osu. An accidental button click could throw you into a menu, close the window, etc.

It could make sense to buy a tablet without buttons. However, you can turn these off in most of the best Osu tablets, so it’s not as big of an issue as it first seems.

Be prepared for a learning curve

Learning a new skill always takes a while and it’s going to be no different if you switch from using a mouse to a pen in Osu.

Some of you may never have used a pen on a tablet before, which will make things even trickier. It’s definitely worth persevering with, though. Get one of the tablets in this round-up, practice and persevere and you will definitely be a better Osu player.

How long will it take you to see the benefits? It could be easily up to a week as you build up the new muscle memory.

No pain no gain, though, right? That’s the crux of the matter here. After a while, you’ll start to improve in terms of speed and overall reaction times. Just be aware of this before buying the best Osu tablet.

Best OSU tablet 2023 : Final Word

We hope this guide to the best OSU tablet 2023 has helped you find the perfect tablet for your needs. At the end of the day, most graphics tablets will work well with Osu. All of the tablets in this round-up work brilliantly with Osu and there’s one to fit every budget - even if you’re down at the $25 level.

All the tablets on this list are pretty affordable, apart from the Intuous. Spending $25-$50 to improve your Osu game seems like a good investment. We wouldn’t recommend going much cheaper than this. Head to the sub-$20 level and you’re going to start getting into trouble.

If we were just to recommend two Osu tablets from this list, they would both be the Wacom options. The Intuos is highly versatile, and the overall quality is great. The One is great if you don’t need extra features and want to save some money. For a medium size, the XP-Pen tablet is a good fit as well.

How to split screen on iPad: iPad Split View & Slide Over If you're trying to figure out how to split screen on iPad in 2024, then you've arrived in the right place. Both the iPad Split View and Slide Over features mean that you have full control when it comes to arranging what and how apps are being displayed on your iPad screen.

Making full use of the iPad's split screen capabilities helps you maximize your working and browsing efficiency on your Apple tablet device. There are two main ways you can do this: either using iPad Split View or iPad Slide Over. In the below steps we’ll teach you how to do both methods, plus how to adjust and modify and adjust the windows as you see fit.

How to split screen on iPad with Split View

Split view is the more conventional method of splitting the screen on an iPad. It divides your screen vertically into two sections, each one showing a different app window. This means you can view two apps on your screen at the same time.

Split View iPad via the Multitasking button

The most straightforward way to use Split View on iPad is by using the Multitasking button which is represented by three horizontal dots on the top of your iPad’s screen.

Split View iPad via the Dock

The second method to use Split View on iPad is to use the Dock at the bottom of your screen.

How to adjust Split View

The default split screen in Split View is exactly equal between both windows. All you have to do to adjust this and make one window bigger than the other is drag the central divider icon left or right.

How to replace an app in Split View

How to split screen on iPad with Slide Over

Slide Over is another method of splitting the screen on an iPad and helping the user to multitask. With this method the screen is not split evenly, but one application window turns into a smaller floating window that can be dragged to the left or the right in front of the second app window, which is maximized in size. This is useful if you want to have a newsfeed or something similar in the slide-over window to keep an eye on the latest developments, whilst simultaneously go whilst you work on whatever is on your main window.

How to adjust Slide Over

As before, simply drag the Slide Over window around by holding and moving the Multitasking button.

How to replace an app in Slide Over

To open a new Slide Over window, repeat the step you used to originally open one. Now you can switch between either of the opened wndows to display in Slide Over mode by swiping halfway up the screen from the bottom of the Slide Over window, pausing, then lift your finger. A selection of all the different app windows will appear - tap the one you want and it will set it as your current Slide Over window.

Best iPad for drawing & Best iPad for Procreate 2023 If you're interested in the Best iPad for drawing and/or the Best iPad for Procreate in 2024, then look no further.

To cut right to the chase, any product from the current iPad line up could be dubbed the best iPad for drawing, indeed they're contenders for best drawing tablets of any brand. This is a testament to the quality of Apple’s tablets and is one of several reasons why Apple holds more than 50% of the tablet market share.

iPads are very versatile and much of that is due to the excellent app selection. Apps like Procreate, Affinity designer, and Illustration turn your iPad from a secondary media consumption device into a portable powerhouse for drawing and graphic design. It is surprising how well iPads have improved, and they are starting to give traditional graphics tablets from the likes of Wacom a run from their money.

Still, it can be hard to pick between all of them. As such, we’ll be taking a look at the best iPads for drawing and seeing how they compare stacked against each other.

Tablet deals for December 2023 are live! Get big savings on tablets of all brands, shapes and sizes on Samsung, Lenovo, Best Buy and Amazon in 2024, including: RCA, Amazon Fire, Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, and Microsoft Surface Pro tablets as well as ASUS, HP and Dell 2-in-1 laptops.

Are the new iPads good for drawing?

Despite the recent release of the new 10th generation iPad and iPad Pro 2022 version, we haven't yet included these selections below as we believe they currently do not offer the best value for money if your focus is purely on an iPad for drawing / and iPad for Procreate. However, Black Friday iPad deals may change this, so do be sure to follow the link to the page and see if you can get one of the newer versions of the below iPads for an enticing discount.

Best iPad for drawing 2023: our top picks

Best iPads for drawing: things to consider

Choose carefully with storage

iPhones used to suffer badly from too little storage. That’s been largely fixed now, although we’d still like to see 128GB as the base storage option. If you’re looking for the best iPad for drawing, though, storage is a bigger issue.

This is because you’re going to want to store your art on the iPad itself. As such, you’re going to want 128GB as a minimum and ideally 256GB.

Unfortunately, the base iPad, iPad Air, and iPad mini all start with 64GB of storage space. This is the only place where the Pro models make more sense. Both of the Pro models start at 128GB.

Of course, this is a non-issue if you can get by with 64GB. Remember that all of them have a Type-C port now apart from the base iPad. This means you can buy an external thunderbolt drive to store data on.

Multitasking still needs work on iPad OS

When shopping around for the best iPad for drawing, you need to ask yourself if multitasking is important. As we’ve seen recently with Samsung’s tablets, multitasking can help a lot in terms of productivity when it is done right.

While Apple is proud of its sliding animations, split-screen support, and multi-tasking, it’s still not up to par. If you want to have the Safari and Notes app open at the same time, no problem.

Want to watch a Youtube video, have Safari open for searching, and be able to write at the same time? Well, that gets clunky quick on an iPad. This is one of those areas where a desktop OS is much better.

On the flip side, an artist’s workflow could be simpler. If that’s the case, you could get by with limited multitasking. Just keep that in mind if you are thinking of replacing your laptop entirely.

The Apple Pencil costs extra

As a designer’s best friend, the best iPad for drawing should come with an Apple Pencil out of the box, right? That would be the case if we weren’t talking about iPads. Apple loves to maximize profits and that means accessories like the Apple Pencil costs extra - quite a lot extra.

None of the iPads come with the Apple Pencil. Furthermore, the base model iPad does not support the second-generation Pencil. You know, the one that attaches magnetically to the side of the iPad.

Of course, this is just another move to make you spend more money. The base iPad is excellent, as we’ll explore later. However, if you don’t want to deal with the inconvenience of charging it via the iPad’s lightning port, then you need to get one of the higher-end models.

Surprisingly, performance does not matter

Well, this is something you don’t hear every day. The best iPad for drawing should have the best performance, right? You don’t have to worry about that here as all the iPads we’ve looked at have excellent performance. The Pro versions come with the M1 chip, which is completely overkill for an iPad.

You get the A13 Bionic for the 9th Gen iPad, A14 Bionic for the iPad Air, and A15 Bionic with the iPad Mini. Don’t get us wrong, there are differences between all of them in terms of performance, especially when you throw the M1 into the mix.

However, it simply does not matter for most artists. The only realistic scenario where you’d care about performance is if you have a large amount of pages open in a drawing app. For 99% of users, that’s not the case. As such, even the base iPad is stellar in terms of performance.

Of course, this is only thanks to the excellent optimization and RAM management seen in iPad OS. Say what you will, but the experience is still impressive, even if it costs a premium. There’s a reason why iPads are so popular.

Best iPad for drawing, Procreate & others in 2024: Budget, professional, and for students

The current iPad Air is by far the best iPad for drawing and the best iPad in general for most people. It takes everything great about the Pros, cuts corners where it makes sense, and is miles ahead of the 9th Gen iPad. This beast is almost too good.

In terms of the display, you will not be disappointed. The IPS panel has excellent brightness, the colors are phenomenal, and the resolution is sharp. The thin bezels give it a more modern look, making it hard to differentiate between the Pro models. A higher refresh rate would make this even better. Performance is excellent as you’d expect. Apple recently updated this with their M1 processor, making it a performance powerhouse. It supports the second-generation Apple Pencil, making this phenomenal for drawing as well.

All-day battery life, a vibrant display, stellar performance, and an incredible design (with great color options). That’s what you’re getting with the iPad Air. FaceID would make this an even better package.

There is little debate to be had, this is hands down the best iPad for drawing.

The base model iPad is the best iPad for drawing if you don’t want to spend too much money. This device is extremely versatile for its price, and it is surprising how well it holds up against the higher-end models. Even more impressive is the fact that you’re not missing out on a lot by going with this one.

The A13 Bionic here holds up well along with the 3GB of RAM. As we stated earlier, you don’t need to worry about performance when it comes to the recent lineup of iPads. This thing handles most of what you want to throw at it with ease.

That is what makes it such a compelling value. Storage is a bit limited, but it should be fine for students and artists who are just starting. It is the only iPad that uses a lightning port, which is fine, but Type-C would be better here.

The 10.2-inch IPS panel is good for the price. Tablets around this price or under generally don’t have a decent screen. While both the iPad mini and iPad Air have better screens, you can’t complain here for the price.

All in all, this is an excellent budget tablet but it’s the price that makes it so compelling.

If you ask people what they think the best iPad for drawing is, they’d go to the top-line Pro model. And, on paper, this device is incredibly impressive. It’s hard to figure out why Apple crammed in their M1 chip inside of the 2021 version, but they did it anyway.

This iPad Pro 11 is a superb device. A 120Hz ProMotion display, great battery life, Apple Pencil support, excellent storage options, way too much RAM, and of course the powerhouse that is the M1 chip. What more could you possibly want?

The ProMotion display makes it quite an experience to draw on. We would go as far as saying this is the best iPad for Procreate, as it really takes that experience to the next level. Again, what more could you want?

Well, maybe an M1 Macbook Air? The M1 chip is incredible, sure, but the iPad OS doesn’t take full advantage of it, and the price is too close to a Macbook Air, which is a more versatile device.

Still, if you need a portable powerhouse and just love iPad OS, then this is the one to buy.

The iPad Pro 12.9 is one of the best iPads out there. That should also make it the best iPad for drawing right? Well, the short answer would be yes. The longer answer would be more complex. If you’re looking for the absolute best drawing experience out there, then this is the one you want to buy.

However, would you be willing to spend more money on an iPad than the excellent M1 Macbook Air? This is the best iPad for drawing for sure, but value is important as well. When you upgrade the storage, buy the Apple pencil, and the keyboard, the price pushes this one out.

This iPad uses a Mini-LED display, and with the ProMotion tech, it is by far the most impressive display on a tablet yet. The M1 processor is excellent, and the almost 13-inches of real estate for drawing is great.

While the value is quite questionable, if you don’t care about the pricing, this is by far the best tablet out there.

The iPad Mini has long been one of the most popular versions of the iPad. Of course, much of that changed when the Pro versions came about, but this still might be the best iPad for drawing in terms of value and portability.

Of course, it is not without its sacrifices. The best thing about the Mini is its form factor. It’s bigger than an iPhone, yet small enough to not be unwieldy. It’s great for lounging on the couch, watching movies in bed, or even playing some casual games.

It’s great for drawing too, as it works with the second-generation Apple Pencil. Essentially, it’s an iPad Air in a smaller form factor.

If you prefer the smaller screen size, then for you this may very well be the best iPad for drawing.

Best iPad for drawing FAQs

Best iPad for drawing 2023 : Final Word

That wraps it up for our picks of the best iPad for drawing and best iPad for Procreate selections in 2024. Any of the tablet devices that we’ve listed here would be a fantastic buy for any aspiring artist. The hardware delivers an almost unbelievable level of performance now and it’s almost like it’s outperforming the software by quite a bit.

This is why we ranked the M1 iPad Pros lower on this list. While they are great luxury items and excellent for media consumption, the other models are much better in terms of value. Saying that, if money is no object then why not go for the best?

Best waterproof tablet 2024: reviews

A great premium waterproof tablet

It is easy to say that the Dell Latitude 7220 Rugged is by far the best waterproof tablet out there. This windows machine is built like a tank and looks like something straight out of the military. For those who demand versatility and a durable design, it does not get much better than this one.

This is a great tablet for first responders, factory workers, and those who generally work in harsh conditions. The tablet can be rigged up to a wall or various other mounting surfaces. It also comes with a sturdy stand that serves as the base when using it on a floor or table.

The design is impressive, as it is wrapped in a thick polycarbonate shell with rubberized corners. On the top, the webcam is protected by a slider. It also features physical buttons to adjust things such as volume, brightness, and other shortcuts.

The back features a metallic kickstand that is held in place via an enormous anchor screw. Performance is decent enough, but the processor is quite old considering the price. Finally, it comes with a magnetic keyboard that snaps to the bottom of the tablet.

Finding a rugged Windows tablet of this caliber is quite hard, and that is why it is the best waterproof tablet.

Best rugged Android tablet

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro is Samsung’s best tablet in the Active product lineup. When it comes to Android, this is by far the best waterproof tablet out there. It still performs decently well, and the overall protection here is quite good for use in harsh conditions.

The Tab Active Pro is a tough Android tablet recommended for road warriors. This waterproof tablet comes with a protective case out of the box. The case also features a slot to hold the S-pen, which is included in the box as well. Both of these things show they paid attention to detail here.

This tablet incorporates MIL-STD-810G ruggedness, meaning this Android waterproof tablet can absorb a lot of abuse. Even without the included case, this thing is built like a tank, and we don’t expect it to get damaged in rough conditions.

Hardware-wise, the screen is good and features a high resolution. It also includes hardware buttons so you can navigate the tablet while wearing gloves. Battery life is also decent, and this tablet easily lasts all day.

As we said before, if you need an Android device, this is the best waterproof tablet out there.

Best budget waterproof tablet

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 is the latest rugged tablet from Samsung. It takes everything that is great about the Tab Active Pro but uses a more compact design. If you care about portability a lot, then this may be the best waterproof tablet in your case.

This Android tablet uses an 8-inch display, with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. Considering the small size, the sharpness is quite good here as it has almost 283 PPI. The form factor is quite good for those who want a rugged tablet, but don’t want to deal with the weight.

This one is a bit expensive, especially considering the underwhelming performance. It can handle day-to-day tasks just fine, but you’d expect more from the price. Fortunately, it still features excellent hardware buttons, a tough outer body shell, and a place to hold the included S-pen.

This is by far the best form factor for a rugged tablet. For that reason, it’s one of the best waterproof tablets available today.

An expensive but very tough device

In terms of the design, the Getac F110 G4 might be the best waterproof tablet out there. While this one is quite expensive, and the performance leaves something to be desired, the design and features on offer here are worth considering for field and factory workers.

First off, the design is quite sleek and thin for a waterproof tablet that is so rugged. Don’t let the slick design fool you, as this thing is built like a tank. The back of the device is tough as nails, and it can withstand a lot of abuse. We’re not worried about it holding up in fieldwork, as the design proves it can handle rough environments with ease.

Apart from that, this device features excellent battery life. It has two batteries, both of which are hot-swappable, and that’s great for long days of work outdoors. The anti-glare screen also holds up well and is visible in the sun.

Like other rugged tablets, this one also features hardware buttons. Performing is quite underwhelming, as the i5 7200U does start to show its age here and there. Considering the older processor, this thing is quite expensive.

Still, if you want a slick yet highly portable device, then it is the best waterproof tablet for you.

The best pick for kids

The Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids is the best rugged/waterproof tablet for kids. However, there is a catch. This tablet does not have an official water resistance rating. This means that you should not trust your kids with it when they have a drink around.

However, the interesting thing is that the case is very well protected. Even if they do spill something on this tablet, it is more than likely it will survive. Now, this seems like a cop-out for this round-up, but we had to feature something that catered to kids.

Apart from the rubberized case (available in different colors), this is the same Fire HD 8 we know and love. The screen is quite decent, and it works well for casual use. While performance is not impressive, it’s decent enough for your kids who will likely be just watching video either way.

All things considered, this is the tablet you would buy for a kid if you need something rugged.

Best waterproof tablet 2024: things to consider

These days, the best waterproof tablets are few and far between. Our choices come down to barely a dozen options or so these days, and half of them are good enough to recommend. This is because waterproof tablets tend to vary a lot.

This is a common problem from the varying performance right down to a different OS. You’ll find many Android waterproof tablets, but they might not be intended for the harshest of conditions. On the flip side, some Windows tablets are recommended for fieldwork, but they are big and heavy and tend to be quite expensive.

Performance can also be all over the place. The little things such as storage, RAM, etc, also end up making a significant difference. So, the best approach is to know your situation, what exactly you need, and find the closest thing possible for an amount you are willing to spend.

Water-resistant vs waterproof

Many people think that these terms are interchangeable, but that is far from the case. Waterproof tablets can survive submersion into the water without too many issues, depending on how long you leave them in. Water-resistance is the same to a degree but provides a lower level of protection.

Usually, this is indicated by an IP rating, like IP65 or IP68. The difference comes down to how much punishment a waterproof tablet can take, and how deep in water it can survive for a certain period.

Why not just buy a water-resistant case?

This may not be too bad of an option for many use cases. You might be the type of person that needs a rugged tablet, but that situation comes up rarely rather than frequently. If that is the case, you can get away with buying a waterproof case for your tablet.

The best waterproof tablets are not the best tablets in general. This is because they cost a lot more than regular tablets, and performance is not up to par for the price in most cases. So, you can pick the best tablet possible for you, buy a waterproof case, and call it day.

Unfortunately, that’s not the case for some folks. People that need a rugged tablet on a daily basis will end up coughing up however much it costs them for the best waterproof tablet.

Be prepared to give up some performance

We’ve talked about this briefly above, and we’ll say it again: the best waterproof tablets might not be the best in terms of performance. This is because making a respectable rugged and waterproof tablet requires a lot of thought for the design. The R&D costs extra, and the implementation is hard to get right.

Profit margins might be higher than other tablets, but that’s because a company will likely sell a lower number of their best waterproof tablets. Putting all of that into perspective, it isn’t possible for you to get the best possible performance out of a waterproof tablet.

Final word

When it comes to the best waterproof tablets, there aren’t that many options. If you need some serious protection, the Latitude 7220 Rugged or the Tab Active Pro are the ones to look out for. The Tab Active 3 is also quite good if you need something compact.

Finally, the Getac F110 G4 features the best lightweight design, and the Fire HD 8 is perfect for young kids.

Waterproof tablets are few and far between, and they come with a lot of sacrifices. However, if you are someone who truly needs one, those are some compromises that you need to be willing to put up with. We’re sure you’ll have found what you’re looking for with the help of our guide.

If your Home button or volume buttons are broken, there is another way you can take a screenshot without having to click them, through the magic of AssistiveTouch. This app gives you an on-screen menu that you can use for various tasks, including taking a screenshot. Simply follow the steps below to activate and use AssistiveTouch.

Save a full-page iPad screenshot as a PDF

Most iPad displays are substantially smaller than the pages you view on them, be they webpages, pages of a document or an email, so if you want to take a screenshot of a full web page to save for later, the conventional method won’t work. Instead however you can take a full, scrollable screenshot of an entire page on an iPad, which can be saved as a PDF file.

Of course, not everyone has their hands on these tablets yet. Samsung have been making tablets for so long, that there are dozens and dozens of different models out there.

Thankfully, although so much has changed over the years, the small yet crucial stuff remains the same. Here’s how to take a screenshot on virtually any Samsung tablet out in the wild.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bt3N4Ksr4ik

Using the tablet keys

The quickest and most obvious way of taking a screenshot on any Samsung tablet is by using the tablet keys. Locate the power and volume keys on your tablet, which are usually on the same side.

Quickly press and hold both keys simultaneously, and a screenshot will be taken. Don’t hold the keys down for too long, and try to make sure you press them at the same time.

Alternative method

If you have an older tablet that also has a physical home button, you can press the power and home buttons at the same to capture the screen. Press both of these at the same time, just like you did with the volume and power keys above.

Screenshots are automatically saved in the Gallery.

Take screenshots with the S-Pen

If your Samsung tablet comes with or supports an S-Pen, you can use that to take screenshots as well. To some people, this might feel more intuitive because you don’t need to awkwardly adjust your grip. Here’s how it works.

Use the S-pen to tap on the Air Command menu icon. This is indicated by a floating pen logo somewhere on your screen. This will bring up a menu of functions, and from here you’ll tap on Screen Write.

Screen Write automatically takes a screenshot of whatever page you are on. You can use the S-pen controls to write or draw on this picture. When you’re through with that, tap Save to store the screenshot in the Gallery.

Final word

Fortunately, taking a screenshot on almost any Samsung tablet out there is dead easy. It’s interesting how far tablets have evolved, but the small details like this remain the same. If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.

Samsung also has a palm swipe feature to take a screenshot, but we recommend you stay away from that, as it can trigger accidentally.

Some devices might have Google device protection enabled. Google might ask you to verify your identity before you are fully able to log out of the account.

Best Samsung tablet 2023 The best Samsung tablet options for 2023!

Samsung tablet computers are a viable alternative if you want to break out of the Apple ecosystem. iPads are limited heavily by iPad OS, and always will be. Samsung tablet computers are much more flexible and versatile, and they go further in replacing your laptop or Chromebook if that’s what you are after (though do be sure to check out our best Samsung laptop page if you're not sure).

Even if that is not the case, Samsung makes excellent tablets if you care about portability, entertainment, and getting light work done on the move (including tablets for photo editing, drawing tablets, tablets for reading, and even gaming tablets). With that in mind, we’ll be covering the best of what Samsung has to offer with its tablets.

So, here’s a look at some of our favorite Samsung tablet computers that money can buy.

Tablet deals are live! Get big savings on tablets of all brands, shapes and sizes on Best Buy and Amazon in 2024, including: RCA, Samsung, Amazon Fire, Lenovo, and Microsoft Surface Pro tablets as well as ASUS, HP and Dell 2-in-1 laptops.

Best Samsung tablet 2023: Our top picks

Best Samsung tablet computers : things to consider

When it comes to the top-of-the-line Samsung tablet computers, you are looking at powerful performance and functionality that leaves competitors in the dust. Still, there are always going to be tradeoffs with portable tablets versus full-fledged Windows machines. Here are a few things to keep in mind before you buy.

Performance vs portability

When shopping around for the best Samsung tablet computers, you are likely going to focus on portability. No surprise there, you might already be lugging around a heavy laptop for work and other uses.

If not, you’re still likely to buy a tablet in the first case for a more intuitive and sleeker experience. Fortunately, a lot of Samsung tablet computers can cram in an impressive level of performance in a sleek chassis.

However, in the case of Android tablets, ARM-based processors such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 are always going to be slower than most chips found in Windows laptops or tablets. On the flip side, laptops are not as exciting, and might not be the preferred form factor for you.

If you’re someone who spends a lot of their time writing, editing photos, or working on lightweight tasks, performance is less of an issue. If your workload requires more performance, then you will be giving up on portability in most cases.

Samsung DeX

There is a reason why Apple products tend to sell well. Limitations aside, you’ll often hear an iPhone user saying, ‘it just works’. They’re not wrong either, Apple products tend to work quite well with each other thanks to the optimized OS and ecosystem in place.

However, Samsung tablet computers have an ace up their sleeves, and this is known as Samsung DeX. While this functionality is not available on every Samsung tablet, it is still a game-changer in the long run.

DeX is a play on the work desktop. Some Samsung tablet computers have this added feature that allows you to turn Android into a desktop-like environment. This gives you better Window management, better app support, and of course incredible flexibility.

Using the tablet with a keyboard and mouse feels more intuitive like this, and it comes close to a portable laptop-like experience. For those who prefer a traditional desktop, a Samsung tablet with DeX could potentially be a viable option.

Storage, performance, and battery life

All three of these features have their importance when you are looking around for the best Samsung tablet computers. However, it isn’t exactly possible for a tablet to excel in all three of these categories, and still come in at a reasonable price.

For example, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra uses the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, 8 or 16GB of RAM, and starts with 128GB of Storage. Battery life is quite respectable as well and the combination makes it a very capable tablet.

However, once you look at the price, it poses another question. Sure, the S8 Ultra is quite capable, but for the price, is it more capable than a similarly priced Windows laptop, or even the Macbook Air? The answer is no.

These are things that you will have to consider. Prioritize what is important to you, and find the best tablet you can in your budget according to those priorities.

Best Samsung tablet 2023: top 5 picks

On paper, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ might not be the best Samsung tablet computer. In terms of specs alone, that title belongs to the Tab S8 Ultra. However, in terms of being a better, more well-rounded product, the Tab S8+ leaves everything behind in the dust.

For starters, it comes with the excellent S-pen out of the box. This snaps to the back of the tablet, and that’s where it charges. Samsung makes an ingenious case for the tab S8+ which allows you to stow away the S-pen so it can charge out of sight.

Performance in day-to-day tasks is great as you’d expect from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. However, what sets this tablet apart is a feature known as Samsung DeX. This allows you to turn the tablet into a desktop-like interface. It gives you floating windows and a familiar workspace.

The screen here is gorgeous. It’s the perfect size for both entertainment and getting some serious work done. While some apps don’t scale well, you can just switch to Samsung DeX for a better experience. Add all-day battery life and a premium design into the mix, and you have yourself a winner.

It’s easy to recommend the Tab S8+, and we think it’s the best Samsung tablet computer.

In terms of versatility, the Galaxy Book Pro 360 is by far the best in this roundup of the best Samsung tablet computers. This is because instead of being a traditional laptop or tablet, it uses a 2-in-1 design, opening the door to a world of possibilities.

This is more of your traditional laptop, one that runs on Windows 11 home. This gives you access to full-fledged desktop apps such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Blender, etc. The S-Pen is included out of the box, and it provides a great experience on this display.

That S-pen works especially well in drawing apps, and the 360-degree hinge allows the screen to be completely flat. This helps with ergonomics a lot while drawing. Performance is provided by the i7 1165G7, which can handle almost anything you would want to throw at a machine like this.

The 1080p screen here is also decent, mostly because it uses a Super AMOLED panel, which gives it great contrast and brightness. It’s a joy to use in almost any scenario. Connectivity is decent enough for a slim and portable laptop.

This is the best Samsung tablet computer by far if you prefer to use Windows over Android.

If you’re looking for a cheap and portable 8-inch Samsung tablet, then this is the one to get. Not many manufacturers make tablets in this form factor anymore, that’s why this one is a bit older than others on this list.

However, don’t let that deter you away from this Samsung tablet computer. While the performance is not capable enough to handle tasks you would need to do for work, it’s good enough for entertainment.

For a tablet at this price, you would just expect it to be a good source of media consumption. Watching videos, making video calls, and just browsing stores online is not a problem here. It’s the sort of tablet you would buy for very casual use.

Of course, there are some obvious downsides. Performance is one, but the design with those thick bezels is another issue. In a world of sleek devices with minimal bezels, this one does look out of place.

However, if you have a use for a cheap tablet such as this one, it’s better than what Amazon offers.

Many would argue that the Tab S8 is the more practical choice among its bigger brothers. While that may be true, we understand that some people just prefer a bigger screen size. Still, if your preference is the opposite, this could be a viable Samsung tablet computer.

We won’t waste too much time on the nitty-gritty, as we’ve already talked about what’s great with the Tab S8+. This smaller tablet is quite similar in nearly every aspect, except it uses a smaller screen. However, the other Tab S8+ and Ultra have better screens, which is something to keep in mind.

Other than that, this is a superb high-end tablet in a much more practical form factor. Many people will prefer this size for watching videos and getting work done while carrying it around.

Performance is quite good, but Apple’s recent update to the iPad Air downplays that a bit. The M1 chip inside of that thing is going to perform better, at around the same price. Then again, that iPad starts at lower base storage and does not come with an S-Pen.

With all of that said, you won’t be disappointed if you go with this Samsung tablet computer.

If you’re after a great affordable tablet as a student, then the Galaxy Tab A8 might be the best Samsung tablet computer for you. While it lacks features such as Samsung DeX and other stuff found in the Tab S8 lineup, it’s a formidable tablet for the price point.

The display here is good, all things considered. The 10.5-inch panel is a good enough size for gaming and entertainment. It’s quite sharp too, thanks to the high resolution. Furthermore, the design makes use of minimal bezels, giving this tablet a sleeker look than others in this price range.

Under the hood, the Unisoc Tiger T618 powers the Tab A8. While this is a mid-range processor, it handles day-to-day tasks well, and the tablet rarely faces slowdowns. All-day battery life is also an added bonus.

All in all, this is the perfect Samsung tablet computer for students on a budget.

How to charge the Apple Pencil So, has the time come to figure out how to charge the Apple Pencil? You may have never had to come across this before given the fact that the Apple Pencil has a great battery life. You rarely need to worry about charging it, especially if you have the second-generation model.

In addition to the long battery life, the Apple Pencil can conveniently charge with any iPad that it’s paired to. There’s no need for a separate charger here, which makes things seamless. It charges quite quickly as well since you can get a full charge in about 15 minutes. A quick 15-20 second charge will give you 30 minutes of use in a pinch.

iPads can be powerful tools when paired with the Apple Pencil. You can draw, sketch, paint, and of course take notes with the help of this pencil. However, it is a wireless device that runs on a battery.

Another thing to consider is the fact that there are two versions of the Apple Pencil. Both look and work a bit differently and support different iPad models. We’ll explain how charging works for both of them.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxSTHimdNok

How to charge the first-generation Apple Pencil

You’ll know you have the first-gen Apple Pencil from the circular appearance. This one has a top cap that can be removed, and it unveils a lightning connector. This should give you a hint as to what you’re in for.

The first-gen Apple Pencil is compatible with all iPads that feature a lightning port and physical home button with TouchID. Charging the first-generation Apple Pencil is not exactly a sophisticated process.

Remove the cap from the top of the pencil to unveil the lightning connector. Insert the connector into the charging port of your compatible iPad. It will make a small sound and start charging.

Alternative method

The Apple Pencil comes with a lightning adapter in the box. Connect this adapter to the Pencil, then plug in the lightning cable to charge it.

How to charge the second-generation Apple Pencil

The second-gen Apple pencil feels much better than the original. This one is supported by all iPads that don’t feature a physical home button and have thinner bezels. So, here’s how the charging works.

This Pencil can snap magnetically to the side of the iPad. When in landscape mode, you can just put the pencil on top of the iPad, and it will charge while it’s there. A slick animation will pop up telling you that it’s charging. It will even show you the percentage.

Final word

As you can see, charging the Apple Pencil is quite easy. If you don’t own one already, we recommend going with the second-gen version and buying a compatible iPad. The experience is much more convenient and overall feels more intuitive.

If you were wondering, both Pencils are paired when you start to charge them. So if you just pulled the Pencil out of the box, charge it up and it should pair automatically.

Best Dell tablet and 2-in-1 laptops 2023 Dell tablet and Dell 2-in-1 laptop models are some of the best Windows devices on the market.

Despite all the hype around Apple silicon and the disruptive launch of M1 devices, in 2024, Windows laptops are still as popular as ever. iPad OS and iPads are fairly dominant in the tablet space, though Windows tablets are gaining ground over them. A 2-in-1 touch screen laptop can give you the best of both worlds: combining the traditional clamshell form factor of a Windows laptop with that of a tablet.

If you're committed to a tablet then be aware that the Windows tablet market can be something akin to the Wild West. There are many options out there, but very few of them are good. Luckily, a lot of the good ones happen to be from Dell.

We’ll be taking a comprehensive look at some of the best Dell tablets and convertible laptops available for general use and creative purposes. If your interest is more in gaming, also check out our Dell gaming laptop page.

Best Dell tablet & 2-in-1 laptops: things to consider

The difference between a Dell 2-in-1 laptop and a tablet

These days, proper portable windows devices such as Dell tablets are few and far between. This is because while 2-in-1 laptops and tablets were all the rage a couple of years ago, the trend has significantly died down. There are many reasons for this.

The first one is that Windows isn’t exactly the best OS for tablets. Back in the day, Dell tablets had Windows 8 installed, but they did not sell very well. However, things have got better with the release of Windows 11. That’s made the user experience on Windows tablets a lot better.

However, there is a difference between 2-in-1 laptops and tablets. True tablets will always be more portable, and there are still a few newer Dell tablets out there. While 2-in-1 laptops are great, the keyboard can tend to get in the way of what companies call tablet mode.

Detachable keyboards are a great solution to this, as we will see later in this article. So, keep the form factor differences in mind if portability is a concern.

Tablet battery life

Generally speaking, a lot of Windows machines and Dell tablets are more powerful than your entry-level Android tablets or iPads. However, that power can come at a significant cost. Here’s why.

Most people want to buy Windows tablets such as the Surface Pro X for a seamless experience during graphic design. It’s a good option for video editors as well. To power these workloads, Windows tablets have powerful processors inside of them.

Of course, power comes at the cost of battery life. If you are thinking of buying a Dell tablet you should bear this in mind.

Be prepared to sacrifice some performance

Expanding on the previous topic, a good way to save battery life is to cut down on performance. Many Dell tablets and 2-in-1 laptops will use processors with a lower TDP to conserve battery life.

Of course, this means you won’t get the same performance as you would with a traditional laptop at the same price.

Another thing to consider is that Dell tablets and other 2-in-1 laptops require more careful engineering. This is to make sure that thermals, battery life, and repairability are all decent at the very least.

That means they end up costing more than a traditional laptop. You will likely be paying more for a Dell tablet that has a lower performance than a similarly priced laptop.

Best Dell tablets and 2-in-1 laptops in 2024

This excellent windows device is the ultimate Dell tablet on this list. This tablet is a no-nonsense business machine, as indicated by the gray design. It comes with a keyboard cover that uses a tough fabric and a darker shade to contrast the look of the tablet.

Furthermore, the keyboard here feels excellent, as the keys are sturdy and comfortable. It’s not all that heavy either, considering the power-packed inside this thing. Of course, you wouldn’t want to carry this in your hands all day, and that’s where the integrated kickstand comes in handy.

Connectivity comes in the form of two USB-C connections and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Both of those USB ports support Thunderbolt 4, which is great to see. The 13-inch display with an FHD+ resolution here is quite bright and vibrant.

Performance is quite good, thanks to the 11th gen Core i7 inside of this thing. This Dell tablet performs slightly better than the Surface Pro and Lenovo Thinkpad X12. Both of which have an i5 processor inside.

Overall, it is quite difficult to find any real flaws with this tablet, apart from the pricing.

While this is not necessarily a true Dell tablet, this Windows laptop is a very capable 2-in-1 machine. It is one of the few laptops that has been a true rival to the Macbook Air for several years now. The XPS 13 2-in-1 is iconic, and the 9310 version is its ultimate form.

This 2-in-1 laptop is constructed from machined aluminum, with carbon fiber and glass accents here and there. Furthermore, the thin bezels allow Dell to fit the 13.4-inch panel into a very small form factor. Surprisingly, it is even slightly smaller than the Macbook Air.

Moving on, the display here is excellent, as you would expect from a premium ultrabook. This panel is bright, vibrant, and the colors are nicely saturated. You can also buy an optional pen from Dell, turning it more into a true “Dell tablet”.

Performance is excellent as well. It is surprising just how well this thing can handle day-to-day tasks, as well as some real-world workloads. The results this thing puts out are a testament to Dell’s excellent engineering. Let’s not forget the excellent battery life that can last more than 10 hours (14 if you’re careful).

Overall, this is by far still the best 2-in-1 laptop out there.

This is one of those ridiculously over-the-top devices that you can’t help but appreciate. For this Dell tablet, you don’t need to worry about performance, except for the battery life. This one surely isn’t for us folks who work from home. It’s for the first responders and factory workers.

As the name implies, this is an impressively durable and rugged Windows tablet. It is a big and burly black slab, to be more precise. The screen is wrapped in black polycarbonate with rubberized bumpers around the corners.

The top webcam has a slider, so you don’t need to worry about someone spying on you. Physical buttons below the screen allow you to adjust the brightness and volume on the fly. On the back, there is a metallic kickstand that is attached via a gigantic screw.

Performance is decent enough for what this product is. It comes with a magnetic keyboard cover that snaps to the bottom edge of the tablet. The ruggedness means this is a heavy Dell tablet, and it further solidifies that this is for those people who work in extreme physical conditions.

All in all, it is next to impossible to find another rugged Windows tablet of this caliber.

This next device is not a Dell tablet, nor does it feature any real bells and whistles. The Inspiron 14 7415 is a 2-in-1 laptop aimed at business users. It’s a mainstream convertible laptop, with premium performance and good value for money overall.

The base model of this laptop comes with a Ryzen 5 5500U, 8 gigs of RAM, and a 256GB SSD. You can upgrade to a 5700U, 16GB RAM, and 512GB storage. Not bad at all considering it will cost you $200 more.

For the design, Dell is using a dark blue finish that they call Mist Blue. It adds a bit of flair and personality to this laptop. The construction feels quite solid, and it feels just as good as the XPS laptops.

That’s all great, but there are a few downsides to this laptop. The display is a bit dim, limiting outdoor usability. Furthermore, while the trackpad feels smooth, the clicking mechanism feels chip and a bit too firm. Keep this in mind.

Apart from that, while this may not be a fancy 2-in-1 or Dell tablet, it is a great performer for the price.

Much like the previous entry, this device is not necessarily a Dell tablet. Instead, the Dell Chromebook 11 (3100) is a laptop that runs on Chrome OS. This low-power laptop is designed for education and works quite well for young students in middle or even high school.

Much like other Chromebooks, it isn’t all that glamorous. This is a laptop that puts function over aesthetics. It uses thick black plastic for the exterior and a 360-degree hinge. This allows you to use it as a Dell tablet. The design is built for punishment, as it is extremely rugged.

Despite the generic appearance, this Chromebook can even withstand a splash of water or two. So, you should rest easy knowing this thing is going to survive a few drops. Apart from that, the performance is not much to write home about, as is with most Chromebooks.

You’ll have to deal with the shallow keyboard and poor display though. Still, for the money, it’s a decent entry-level laptop.

Final Word

So, that about wraps it up for the best Dell tablet and best Dell 2-in-1 laptops out there. Hopefully, you found the right device that suits your needs from this guide.

If you need a truly premium full-fledged Windows tablet, then it does not get much better than the 7320 detachable. The 7220 Rugged Extreme is also an excellent option for those looking for use in demanding conditions. Other than that, the Dell XPS 13 is a phenomenal laptop either way, in both 2-in-1 and the clamshell form factor. For students on a budget, the Chromebook 11 is a good choice, while the latest version of the Inspiron 14 stands as a great value if you care about performance.

Best T-Mobile tablet 2023: Our Top Picks

Best T-Mobile Tablets 2023: for artists, power users, and students

The iPad Air 4 is the king when it comes to the best T-Mobile tablets. While many competitors have come and gone, this device remains the best option for the vast majority of people out there.

The iPad Air 4 is a super high-end tablet that does not cost as much as you would expect. It has everything you could ask for in a premium tablet - long battery life, great cameras, a superb screen, and phenomenal performance.

While the A14 Bionic can’t hold a candle to the M1 processor inside of the iPad Pros, this beast still holds its own. It can handle video editing, photo editing, and any drawing app you throw at with ease. It even outperforms a lot of the Windows tablets/laptops in this range. Not bad at all.

Pair that with fast charging, iPadOS 15’s excellent animation, cellular connectivity, and of course, the Apple ecosystem, and this T-Mobile tablet truly has it all. The Type-C port and the Apple Pencil support serve as the cherries on top.

All of that makes this premium T-Mobile tablet the top choice for you.

When it comes to Android T-Mobile tablets, it’s hard for companies to compete with Apple. The pricing on the iPad Air is excellent, and so is the performance. However, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE is the only tablet with the features to take that challenge head-on.

Samsung has improved the design on both its tablets and phones greatly recently. As such, the S7 FE tablet is quite the looker. It’s sleek and portable and even comes with an excellent S Pen designed by Wacom. This adds to the value as no tablet comes with a stylus these days.

Samsung uses a 12.4-inch TFT panel with a 2560x1600 resolution for the display. While the screen is great on its own, an IPS panel would be better for more vibrant colors. You have plenty of storage options, and the same is true for RAM.

Overall, this T-Mobile tablet is very hard to overlook. Performance is great, as the mid-range Snapdragon 750G holds up surprisingly well. Battery life is well over 10 hours, and it supports 45W fast charging. Again, the value proposition here is excellent.

This tablet is an iconic design from Apple. Despite this T-Mobile tablet looking a bit dated in 2024, the overall versatility and functionality more than make up for it. It is surprising just how good an experience this tablet provides over most Android device in this range.

The display here is excellent. A high-resolution, bright, and vibrant screen goes a long way in providing a premium tablet experience. While the display is not laminated, and less impressive than the iPad Air, the quality here is unparalleled for the price.

Many might think that the design is outdated. It is one of the few products to use TouchID over FaceID in the Apple ecosystem. While the bezels are a bit big, they end up helping in gripping the tablet.

The A13 Bionic is the same processor used in the iPhone 11 Pro Max. You may think the 3Gb of RAM will slow it down, but that’s not the case. iOS 15 is extremely optimized, and we never noticed any drops in performance at all.

So, the only real downside here with this T-mobile tablet is that it only supports the 1st-gen Apple Pencil.

With the Microsoft Surface Pro 8, the company made sure that this T-Mobile tablet was a step up from its predecessors. The darker colors on this lineup look great, and the graphite one certainly stands out. The chassis features more rounded edges and smaller bezels.

As for the display, it is one of the best we have ever seen in a Windows tablet. It features a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution that is close to 4K. Needless to say, it looks phenomenal on the 13-inch panel. The brightness is at 467 nits and it covers 103% of the sRGB spectrum.

With a device like this, performance is hard to get right. You want it to be fast, but not so powerful that it drains the battery quickly. The re-engineered design allows Microsoft to use a higher TDP Intel processor inside. This means battery life is close to seven hours, and performance is excellent.

This T-Mobile tablet also finally supports Thunderbolt 4. Cellular connectivity is a bit tricky, as you can only get the LTE version on its store. That’s not a problem, though, as you can just add your T-Mobile sim.

Apart from that, this is an excellent Windows tablet.

The last T-Mobile tablet on our list is the capable Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite. Decent android tablets are hard to find on a tight budget. Fortunately, this one is more than capable of everyday tasks and might be a better option than some Amazon tablets.

The display is not premium, and nor is the performance that great. However, the battery life and strong LTE connectivity make this cheap T-Mobile tablet an excellent purchase.

The design itself is quite simple and generic, and while the tablet feels flimsy it makes up for it with its lightweight design. The screen is decent enough for the price. Stereo speakers are also a good addition at this price.

While the Tab A7 Lite might not have much going for it against high-end devices, it’s the best LTE tablet out there under $200.

Best T-Mobile Tablets: Things to consider

A lot of people are starting to consider tablets as a replacement for their laptops. While many tablets have certainly caught up to Windows devices, a few things might hold you back. You should be aware of these aspects as they might put you off from buying a tablet in the first place.

Before buying a T-mobile or cellular tablet, here’s everything you need to know.

Drawing on tablets is awesome

If you run out to buy a brand-new T-Mobile tablet, you’ll be surprised by how versatile these devices are. A couple of years ago, graphic design and drawing were limited to traditional tablets from the likes of Wacom. That situation has changed a lot.

Both Android and iOS have excellent drawing, editing, and design apps in their respective app stores. Some examples include Procreate, Krita and Lumafusion. Some Adobe apps are starting to make their way to tablets as well.

A lot of tablets these days work wonderfully with pens and styluses. The Apple Pencil and Samsung’s S-pen immediately come to mind.

So, if you’re a budding artist and were skeptical of buying a T-Mobile tablet, this should help.

Cellular comes at a cost

Unfortunately, very little comes for free in this world, and you need to be aware of the costs involved if you’re going to buy a cellular tablet. Cellular or T-Mobile tablets are great for getting work done on the go, and off you ultimate connectivity. However, they cost more than their Wi-Fi counterparts.

Often, you will find a cellular tablet costing anywhere between $50-$100 more. Here’s an interesting situation: say you want to buy the latest iPad Air with 5G and 256GB of storage. Well, that would end up costing you more than the Wi-Fi version of the 11-inch iPad Pro.

Of course, some people have to have cellular connectivity. T-Mobile tablets these days support 5G connectivity for the most part but you should keep in mind that this feature costs extra.

Android or iOS: which is better for tablets?

It’s the age-old question. Here’s the interesting thing: a lot of it comes down to personal preference. Now, if you’re knee-deep stuck in the Apple ecosystem, you will likely end up buying an iPad. However, Android tablets are still well worth considering.

We remember the days when Android on a tablet was a terrible experience. Many apps had dodgy orientations, and some did not work at all. Fortunately, most of that stuff has been remedied, and Android on a tablet now feels like a great experience.

With T-Mobile Android tablets, you also have access to a lot more options. Well, in theory at least. In the real world, Samsung is dominating that market and they happen to be the default choice for a lot of people.

Final Word

These days, a tablet can replace a laptop for a lot of people, and that’s a remarkable achievement. Hopefully, we helped you make the right buying decision.
